Game Day Grand Final 2022 - Cats v Swans

Go Swannies - keeping Scott to just his inherited premiership would be great. Also hate the way they rape and pillage the Dads army component of the rest of the comp.

I'm going to this game!

I passionately dislike Geelong and think Selwood is a disgrace, but I oddly enough hope they win. Wouldn't be surprised if this changes the second the game starts though.

F**k the swans academy.

Crazy that since 2005 there's only been 3 consecutive years where neither of these teams have featured in the finals.

Can't stand either of them but they deserve respect.

Contrary to above sentiments, I wouldn't mind seeing Dangerfield get one because I think he's a good fellow, but unfortunately he plays in the same team as Joel Selwood who I enjoy seeing on the losers' end.

I suppose Sydney fans will lose too quietly and disappear, whereas we're likely to witness more coverage of the endless days misery that will hit the town of Geelong if they lose. Tick for Sydney.

I'm not aware of any celebrity Swans fans except for the now ancient Geraldine Doogue, but there's always a chance of seeing a pissed Warwick Capper tumble in front of the cameras during the post-match celebrations "Hi. Remember me. I was the biggest thing in the 80's"

Hutchy and Gerard Whately are Geelong supporters so if they win, trade week wil be about how every team needs to build a list profile like Geelong to stay in contention.

I guess I'll be going for Sydney at the start of the game but prepared to jump on the Geelong bandwagon.

George Pell is a Swans fan.

No, he's Richmond. He played for Richmond VFL reserves. I think the Tigers might have revoked his patroneage a couple of years ago though, so maybe he's switched to the Swans. Can't see him going to the Pride round.

I was at the SCG in a corporate box about 15 years ago and he owned one of the boxes near where we were and he was decked out in Swans gear.

I’m going to the game - first GF to attend in person!
Will cheer for Geelong, love to see Zach Tuohy win one.
A quick question, does the medical sub get a medal and are they a premiership player?

I guess if you are ten goals up, you throw the medical sub on for the last 5 minutes to make sure

I was at the 2013 and 2014 GFs - you will love it!

Considering they are paid match payments like all the other players, I would assume they would still get a medal.

A fun Selwood stat/fact. If he wins tomorrow, he would have won 22 finals. That will be more then the amount of finals St Kilda have won in their 127 year existence. 21 finals in that time. Far out.
Marlion Pickett won a GF in his first game then 20 games later a second. Football can be cruel for these clubs

My MTB ride comes first today ,then the game whenever I get back, going for Swans as me godchilds family are Swans plus faark Duckwood,Muntface Hawkins and Dangerflop 😁

Sucks for Holmes to be a late out. I think the last late out for the cats in a GF was Wojcinski for Chapman in 08. They were heavy favourites for that one too

I've hated Geelong for ever, but Scott has coached so well this year I think Geelong will deserve their win if it comes. I'll be barracking for Sydney win but I doubt I will be viscerally angry if the cats get up for that reason. Though maybe if it comes from one of those blatant umpire error that always seems to go their way to kick the winner, my mood will change

I'm wearing a Warwick Capper costume to a Grand Final party using a Mullet Wig, my old white footy shorts that are now a couple sizes too small and a South Fremantle guernsey. Would be weird to start going for the Cats today...
Lol, they're going to be so tight, that you'll be needing the toilet every fifteen minutes! =P

Okay, I've come around to caring about this match jusssst enough to support the Swans. F*ck Dangerflog, Dawkins and Duckwood. May they all go premiershipless this year! Wow, I coined a new word! Hahaha

I’m going for Geelong. This time last year I would have been barracking for the Swans but Geelong won my respect after coming back from such a bad PF loss last year to be harder, faster and even more determined. So go Cats.

Surely witnessing just one goal celebration from a **** stick like Jeremy Cameron would be enough to get you to change your mind.
