Geelong has been a force purely because of list management.

For every Cameron, Stanley, Tuoy, Smith, Danger, Menagola(who isn’t playing), Rohan they bring in Crameri, Jenkins, Ceglar, Higgins and Dalhousie who didn’t work out.

They take a risk with Recycled players as well as trading in Stars with a sprinkle of draft picks throughout the years. They don’t always nail them, but more often than not they get the best out of them.

It’s a leg up to the Cats list management that they are based in a state where a majority of the players actually come from. Then there’s the whole father/son thing.

It’s really hard to compete.
