Unfortunately no previous grand final victory pack has had all the games in bluray- they only have the grand final in bluray with the rest of the finals in DVD. So this is likely the best we get.
Does anyone know what is the pixelation or whatever of DVD vs Blu-ray etc? The torrents of all the finals go up as high as 1080p by the look. Just wondering how this will compare to the versions in the shops.

I do have to admit, after watching my DVD for the first time last night, I thought the quality of my recording from my tv to a usb was better.
So you would want to hope a BluRay was a bit better than the DVD version.

My very quick googling reveals that DVD quality is 720p and Blu-ray quality is 1080p. So about the same as what is available online.

I repeat: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/afl-premiers-2024-brisbane-lions-2024-blu-ray

All games. Alt commentary. Rumour has it even Grasshopper17 stats make an appearance.
The stats by themselves should automatically make it way more expensive than that. Can't believe I give all this sh!t away for free on BigFooty.

I'd point out that I think the description there is a bit misleading; I think they might have copied and pasted that from another product. The cover image on this page clearly states it's the Grand Final, so one would assume it's the Grand Final only.

I think that’s an error on behalf of JB Hifi. It would be the same product that they are charging $90 (the Victory pack) for but 1/3 the price. Every other site has that exact item as the blu ray of the Grand Final only, with some saying only 1 disc present.

Note to self: screenshot everything so they have to honour the sale

"JB, I got a screenshot! You need to get a dozen people to generate this product you accidentally implied existed!"

Good luck with that. :D

I actually got the Gold Coast City Council to buy me a lime scooter by doing something similar.

Either that or they face a lawsuit with BRAB as my representation. Their move.

There’s probably 100s of free lime scooters at the bottom of the Nerang river

Yahoo Sport Australia can exclusively reveal in an incredibly selfless act Brisbane coach Chris Fagan decided to give away his premiership winners medal to preliminary final hero Oscar McInerney. After the ruckman's heroics helped Brisbane book a place in the 2024 AFL grand final, Fagan felt it was only right for McInerney to receive a medal after missing out on the club's incredible grand final triumph through injury.

For winning the grand final, Fagan was awarded both the Jock McHale medal - which is given to the grand final winning coach - and a premiership medal. And while both medals meant a great deal to Fagan - especially after the club came so close to winning a flag the season prior - the Lions coach felt it was only right to give his premiership medal to McInerney.

The ruckman was an integral part of Brisbane's campaign all season, but couldn't line up in the grand final after dislocating his shoulder twice in the preliminary-final win over Geelong. But the ruckman showed his absolute class after Brisbane's 120-60 victory at the MCG, celebrating each and every one of his teammates as they received their medals despite the fact he would have been quietly shattered that he wasn't getting one. But in the end, he received a medal after all.

A Brisbane Lions spokesperson told Yahoo Sport Australia on Friday that Fagan felt it was the right thing to do given the ruckman's crucial role in the Lions achieving their ultimate goal. But not wanting to do it on the public stage at the grand final ceremony, Fagan chose to award it to the ruckman at the team's final meeting.

McInerney was reportedly ecstatic upon receiving the medal and very thankful to his coach. It comes after a Triple M caller, who spoke under the condition of anonymity, revealed he overheard Fagan say he gave his premiership medal away to McInerney. "So Fagan has two medals and in the final meeting before the playing group splits up for the off-season, he (Fagan) got the boys together and said 'So I have a 23rd medal and as you boys know there was a 23rd man on that field with you'," the caller told Triple M.

"And he and everyone felt a medal had to go to Oscar and there you have it the feel-good story of the year. Oscar was so selfless and you could see the joy on his face after the boys won the grand final. And now he has a grand final medal himself."
Just to follow up from the previous post and yes this story was true:

Brisbane Lions coach Chris Fagan has revealed he gave much-loved ruck Oscar McInerney his premiership medal following this year’s premiership triumph.

McInerney was this year’s grand final heart-break story, missing the decider after suffering a shoulder injury in the preliminary final.

The ‘Big O’ dislocated his shoulder twice in that game, but bravely fought through pain in what was an inspirational performance.

Appearing on Triple M’s Roo, Ditts & Loz, Fagan revealed he had given his premiership medal to McInerney.

“I guess it is true. You get the Jock McHale medal for being the premiership coach and then I got handed one of the medals the players got, and I thought, what am I getting handed this for I’m not a player.

“I had the medal and checked that it wasn’t a mistake, that they hadn’t given it to me by accident, it wasn’t, and I made the decision to give it to Oscar, it seemed fair.”

Fagan said he gave the medal to McInerney on the Thursday after the grand final but chose to do it during a team meeting, rather than at the best and fairest.

“It was a very popular thing; a big cheer went up and he was pretty happy to accept it.”

To be fair to Lordo we were fairly bloated odds to win 4 finals in a row.

Lordo just looked at the odds , took what looked like a reasonable punt to make a hero of himself with the 'big statement' and fell flat on his face.

I can see where he was coming from if it wasn't the first time.

We did not deserve to have someone like Joey at our club for the 4 years he was here and I'm so grateful for what he brought to the table throughout that time.

If he is reading this online somewhere, just wanted to say a massive thank-you

David Schwarz on the other hand...

Hopefully the fact this was only on SEN WA doesn't preclude this from featuring prominently in any doco(s) produced.
