This is a discrace. The AFL should be ashamed with this.
They are happy to spend bucket loads on pre and post match entertainment, that most people could care less about, yet the official broadcast of the codes pinnacle game, shown to millions across Australia and more around the world is in blurry SD.

Why do you want to deny fans of the shows Rocket Booster Rescue and Demolition Day just so you can see a little game of footy in HD on 7mate?
Foxtel uprates it to 1080i so it looks slightly better than 7's picture.
However, this is one of the most disgraceful technical allowances by the AFL that currently exists. They must force 7 to broadcast their showcase event in 1080i. No ifs or buts!

I really don't understand that we the general public don't jack up more about this given the collective billions we've all spent on HDTVs.
Fortunately I get to go most years so it doesn't affect me but overall it is a travesty and a disgrace.

Wish channel 7 would quit with the big sweeping city shots until they move their technology into this century.
Are foxtel allowed to show it this year? For memory, last year they had the panels doing discussions but could not actually broadcast the game.

Yeah i agree with most in this thread and 7 are a joke. Their picture quality they broadcast is terrible and the Fox HD picture is as clear as anything and very sharp.
Spewing Fox Footy can not show it until 6:30pm tonight as the quality they broadcast is a heap better than channel 7 even when not in full HD.
7 are just seriously ******** and how the biggest game of the AFL year cannot be sent out in a HD format is terrible.

Yep, it's a disgrace that all games aren't in HD. We had them when 10 did it. You won't be able to get it on Blu-ray either. 7 are pathetic.
