For me I only made 1 grand final out of 3 (missed out on my main & big footy leagues)

Anyway still got through to 1 grand final to keep me interested for one more week

Edit: Funny thing about my match is He will probably go in as favourite and he just scraped into 8th spot by .2% & I finished on top.

You should win but will be close even if you lose both Roo & Buddy as it will really only mean one dounut as he already has a zero with Roughy.

Kismet currently has a 24 point lead coming into the final 2 rounds for the TooSerious Legends league ($800 overall cash prize).

Been neck and neck recently with WHW catching up 80 odd points last week.

Both have pretty good bench coverage (so could well come down to good coach choices for captaincy and fringe players).

This is how the GF pans out so far- Norm is my opponent, so I'm just making assumptions about the bench players. One thing I don't know is her trade/cash situation. She scored 2200 last week with the two 0's up forward (assuming Ballantyne was emg). Differences in bold.

I'm exposed in ruck, and mid, where she's got one extra premium (although given Liam's recent form he's pretty close to that). If she's in trouble trade-wise then the forward zeroes will hurt her. I have one trade and a bit of cash left over- I certainly won't be able to upgrade to absolutely anyone, but I think I can aim for a few handy players based on my trade bait hitlist. If Buddy gets rubbed out that will bugger things up a little, but I can still swap him out for most forwards.

I think Rock the Dashbah definitely has an advantage in the backs (for consistency anyway), probably give Norm the advantage in the Mids and Rucks (especially Bartel v Fremantle at Skilled Stadium in the wet). Definitely got the advantage in the forwards given she could be two forwards down (3 if you consider how Ballantyne performs on the road). I wouldn't think Norm Smith would have any trades left if you she was playing 2 donuts in a semi-final. Rock the Dashbah by 130 points IMO

Not as dumb an idea as it sounds IMO.

I'd definitely go Montagna if you are playing one down against your opponent as he will kill Melbourne and get around 140 + easily.

Have to take a risk or two when in that situation I reckon as your opponent already have the advantage over you.

Especially when there are only 8 players that are different so its even harder to claw back.

We both have Ablett, say he scores 120. Thats 240 for my opponents captain choice.

If i pick a unique capatin (someone he doesn't have, Eg. Montagna, and he scores 140) I get 280 for my captain choice. Gaining +40 points.

If Ablett outscores Montagna (say Montagna gets 110) my captain choice scores me 230 (Abletts 120 + Joeys 110) only losing 10 points.You could then just count Montagnas score as normal (110).

Alternative way of looking at it anyways and could be a way to make up points on your opponent.

Like a lot of others, I'm not sure what his trade stocks are like. I have $130k left and 2 trades, so I could trade out Franklin and Chapman. Alternatively, I have Callum Wilson on the bench, so I could just bring him in, swap Chapman (Didak? O'Keefe?) and upgrade someone else.

His defense looks more sturdy and on paper the midfield match-ups are worrisome. Hopefully Vince and Winderlich can pull out some big scores.

Something that's been troubling me as well. The safe option would be Gazza, as we both have him, and I'd say there would be a 90% chance we'll both end up picking him, but we both have pretty strong midfields, so there's any number of options. Bartel and Goodes from her team both have strong claims this week, but so does the shared Selwood, or even the Blues boys and Dal. Perhaps Riewoldt will want to make amends for his last two weeks' disappointments and give the Demons a shellacking...

Ugh. Don't want to make too many plans until I know if Buddy is in or not, but can't help myself.

I'll be playing with a donut now (f@rking Franklin and Stevie J)

One of my other league opponents (work league) has Franklin but Mcglenn on the bench while my other league opponent (The Perfect Beast, Bigfooty Div 7) has Franklin and Stevie J and only Ballantyne on the bench.

So I will be playing against a side with a full lineup and another one with one donut providing he doesn't have any trades left.

The guy from work has Ablett and will problably make him captain while Perfect Beast has no Ablett and will most likely make Montagna captain.

Does anyone think that even though I have Ablett that maybe I should make Delidio captain to try and get an advantage in case Ablett has a quiet one against Freo?

My third league where I play one of my mates has 4 donuts (Newman, Pyke, Chapman and Franklin) He is done like a dinner so at least I am guaranteed of one grand final win at least.
