Hi all,

Registration will take place on Thursday, September 8th - you MUST use your 12-digit membership barcode to register before the preliminary final to gain access to the grand final if we make it, see the following link for details:

As in previous years, we expect that there will be numerous requests in the coming days for unused/spare barcodes. Some requests may come from people who have been around a while and are familiar to most posters, others might be from not so familiar names. If you have a spare barcode it is up to you to assess the person making the request on your own and decide whether you would like to deal with them.

If you want to request a barcode in this thread you must have been a member of the BigFooty forums for at least 2 years and have at least 500 posts, including a history of posting on the Swans board. BigFooty is a community and we would like to reward those who participate in the forums not just those who only pop up whenever a barcode or ticket offer is available and then bugger off into the sunset never to be seen again.

If you meet the above criteria, we are happy for you to post here if you are looking for a spare barcode. All barcode requests are to go in this thread and nowhere else.

If you request a barcode without fulfilling the above criteria your post will be deleted.

P1 Registration time: 8am - 11am AEST
P2 Registration time: 12pm - 4pm AEST
P3 Registration time: 5pm - 9pm AEST

Also, if you have a spare barcode, post in this thread and I will add your name to this post. Who you choose to deal with is entirely up to you, but we suggest you either stick to names on the list below and/or people that you already know on the boards.

I had standing room in 2005 and it was pretty crowded so I suggest getting there as early as you can to get a good spot (If you're over 6 foot tall it might not matter too much where you stand). Viewing was also slightly restricted because of a pylon (if this is the case you'll know before you get there as your ticket will say its restricted viewing) but it was still far better than watching from home.

Adding to the pleas - in case anyone with P1 will be O/S, getting married, etc on the 24/9 therefore has a spare P1 barcode so my wife* can join me.

* As mentioned in previous posts, she has only accompanied me on 2 of the 6 Swans Grand Finals I've been to - that is 2005 & 2012 !! So a worthy donation!

This is a long shot, but if anyone has a spare barcode they're not going to use for the GF I'd really appreciate it. I'd prefer 2 barcodes as I'd prefer to take my GF, but if I can only snag one then beggers cant be choosers (i.e. the Mrs can stay home ). I'm happy to discuss some sort of compensation (if that's allowed?). PM me if you're in a position to help out.

I did receive the email but I am priority group 3 as I signed up later in the year. Ticketek account already set up.

Now the issue is one of my guests that want to go to the GF is not a member. Willing to DM for a barcode but I think the demand from Swans fans is high.

Didn't use our swans allocation in 2016.

Handy Hint:
1. Remove the letters at the front of the barcode (i.e. Ad) and any commas when adding these into Ticketek.

2. Member barcodes will only be able to access the same level ticket as the membership type. For example an adult membership barcode will access adult tickets. There are no junior tickets for the AFL GF, Junior membership barcodes will access concession tickets.

3. Each member barcode will be charged a $3.50 non-refundable fee at time of registration to cover administration costs.

I definitely haven’t been around as much as I’d like. 2 kids turned in to 3, I took over a business, then started building a house and all my spare time seems to have evaporated.

Absolutely pumped for this finals campaign though! I actually promised my uncle that next time the Swans made a GF I’d let him use my membership to get tickets, so hunting for some replacement barcodes for myself and the mrs. Fingers crossed!

2016 we had roughly the same amount of members as we do this year and didn't fill our allocation if I remember correctly?

Most p3's should be fine this year I'd think.

On the flipside, 2014 had really high demand and a number of P2's missed out.

I think this year will be closer to 2016 if not 2012. Especially as travel etc. might be more prohibitive now than what it was. Plus I think in 2014 a lot of people expected to make a granny, which really wasn't the case for most of this year.

Of course, this assumes we actually make it.

Go to the Ombudsman this morning... they'll get it sorted for you.

If it's not them (the ombudsman), they'll tell you who it is, and probably give you the contact details.

I am also trying to get two p1 allocations if anyone is not planning to use theirs. Want to fly my dad here to Melbourne if the swans make it to the granny.

Also thinking of going up to Sydney for the prelim, when do the tickets go on sale for that?
