Was a Richmond Gold member at the start of 2017 but traded it for MCC provisional membership (be stupid not to, unless Richmond become the best team in the comp for the next 3 years, oh wait). The aftermath: missed 17 GF and still dont have a ticket for this year. Not fussed about sitting/standing as long as I get into that holy stadium on Saturday. Just with Richmond, gf guarantee, coteries, and 25yr+ members pretty much take 100% of our allocation now.

It's a fairer system than in 2017. The last decade had been a relative picnic for Richmond supporters and it was a kick in the guts to see 10 year members celebrating getting seats while some of those who'd done the full 35+ years wilderness trek got donuts.

It's not perfect and probably never will be, but I commend the club for the improvements since then.
