Movie Greatest scenes in cinema

Re-watched Godfather 1+2 on the weekend and the scene with Michael and Kay in the hotel during part 2... "Michael... you are blind" had me stunned.

I'd seen the movie a few times, years ago, but something about this scene and the way Pacino just controls everything through his eyes is absolutely brilliant.

What are some of the other single scenes that you all love? Stuff you rewatch 100 times or hold in your memory bank.

I mean there are too many to list. I do find that a lot of my favourite/most iconic scenes come from early Hollywood - the final scene of All Quiet On The Western Front, the final scene from The Third Man, 'Put The Blame On Mame' from Gilda, the crane shot from High Noon.

Buster Keaton and Jackie Chan, I almost watch their films exclusively for the scene construction - The General and Police Story are probably my favourite films of theirs and both have too many iconic scenes to list.

And for something different

Admittedly, for true respect, watch it without the Hans Zimmer backing... but it definitely adds drama to the speech. To quote one of the comments on the youtube vid, Ironic how the "silent movie star" spoke the most powerful message in cinematic history.

The scene that I remember the most that just wow at the time, in real time at cinema was Fire Walk With Me when the girl in bed looks at the picture on the wall with door slightly ajar, then walks through that door and end of freaky scene , I think she looking out from the picture to herself in bed.
It just crazy good and probably the scene out of any movie that stuck with me as just brilliantly done.

Not sure if the scene on youtube but it was just freaky stuff when saw it at the cinema.

Also love so many scenes in First Blood, especially up in the dark at night in the forest.

Love the scene in Planes, Trains and Automobiles where makes his way through horrible snow and slush to get to airport to complain to rental lady and the swearing the goes on for the mood is just perfect.

So many good scenes in Inception too. The wife going down the lift, just hit me at the time, she like a ghost that haunting him in his own mind.
Just the perfect woman for that role. I found her very haunting in way she played it.
