after watching theese 3 young talented players the big question has to be asked if you woudl take any of these players at your club. Grima although not on afl senior list is winning the vfl coleman and is showing glimpes of being a great player and will however struggle to fit in the cats forwardline would be a great pick up for a club which lacks goal kickers. prismall and byrnes have played a couple of games each this season both young and showing tremendous skill but like grima will be never be a consistent game player in the seniors. would you be interested in getting one of theese players at your club?

1. Grima - You should see him elevated early next year, he's developing nicely along with Davenport but Davenport might be too soon to put him in with the big boys yet.

2. Prismall - He should also be given more seniors time next year. He is still developing nicely, our winning streak was the most likely cause for him not to be played more. Bomba isn't keen to make changes when things have basically been running so well. Understandable.

3. Byrnes - Inconsistencies are his enemy. Has fantastic potential along with awesome pace, but until he can become consistent in a few areas, he will always be in and out of the seniors.

The first 2 shouldn't even be considered for trade, however Byrnes has been in and out for a few years now. So it will be a question of Bomba's patience as to whether Byrnes will be put up or not.

At the end of the day there are several players in the magoos who can potentially be elevated and most likely would have been had we not been in the position we are.

nick sautner is leading the goal kicking in the vfl mate and he is too far in front to be caught

u can have byrnes, but prismall will definately be a consistent game player in the seniors probably next year
at whose expense mate, if he stays at geelong he will be the 7th ot 8th best midfielder for at least the next 3 years

i would love to get prismall to essendon, but i'm not sure if we would be able to strike a deal for him. somebody will offer a higher pick then our 2nd pick, whilst he isn't worth our first rounder

perhaps our 2nd + 3rd picks
for
prismall + 3rd pick

Yes, but which of your players that are running around in the midfield at the moment are going to give up their spot to Prismall?

You don't have any older midfielders who will be retiring any time soon, and you have some young ones that have pushed past Prismall, like Selwood.

It would probably be the best move for Prismall and Geelong if he was traded away - Prismall gets more opportunity at another club, and Geelong can get younger while keeping their core together.

I reckon you will find that Tenace may be traded before Prismall. We have been very fortunate this year thus far with injuries - it is unlikely we will have another year like it. Prismall is next in line for a midfield spot. Tenace's kicking skills, whilst not terrible, are preventing him from getting a game.

Grima should be bumped to the senior list in the off-season. Has developed nicely, and should be in line for a spot in the 22 in 2008.

Prismall needs to work on his speed and acceleration. He'd be in the 22 of almost any other club though.

Byrnes I'd make available for trade, but he's a decent backup small forward. Just doesn't use the ball that well.

Who do you think is going to take Tenace? Like Byrnes, I can't see anyone wanting him. We would get a good deal for Prismall tho.

Grima-Will be elevated off the rookie list next year.
Prismall-Definetely required player. I reckon he'll cement his spot in the 22 next year.
Byrnes-Possible trade. Has been in and out of the side alot. Has great run and carry but his delivery can be a little off and lots of Cats fans are calling for his head because of it. I would like him to have another year, but its looking unlikely.

North's first rounder will suit us fine cause i sure as hell know that they wont get him for their second and he wont be available preseason draft to them so... looks like geelong has picks 17 and 13 not bad for a team whos a good chance to win the preiership

Prismall will seek more opportunity. If he stays he won't be in the team next year and deserves to be playing AFL. Geelong loves him but Selwood progress has come at Prismall's expense. Hopefully his 1st choice is North. If it is Richmond, Geelong could be taken to the cleaners with the preseason draft.

Grima will be promoted. Although he has been pretty much exclusively forward this year. He is capable of playing back. Good chance he will play 10 or so games next year if he stays with the cats.

Byrnes is going to get less and less opportunity I think. Stokes has cemented his spot and Varcoe is only going to get better and better. I think Djerrkura will pass him next years as well. Might leave but I think he will probably stay.

A couple of others at Geelong:
Callan - has been sensational however can't break into Geelong's backline. A wasted talent in the VFL.
Gardiner - Could be a McDougall trade, playing very well in VFL but has been a dud at AFL level to date.
Tenace - Is a good talent and would do well at a club with a weaker midfeild.
D.Johnson - Been a consistent performer for the cats but doesn't get a game every week. Will be a 100 + gamer for a club.
