Haddin to replace Gilchrist - What State is he from?

Harvey was the next best option when Watson buggered his back. Lets think of some other Bowling allrounders off the top of my head

Damien Wright
Mark Cleary
Peter Worthington
Kade Harvey

None of them were ready for international selection at the time. Harvey was the deserving candidate.

Okay, I'll type slower for you. Hope it helps.

We were discussing that NSW players get more opportunity than others. The fact that Bevan even got 18 tests was enough time to show he couldn't cut it at this level. He had opportunities. Other batsman actually made runs at the highest level and didn't receive the same.

Comparing Hayden to Bevan actually shoots your argument - Hayden returned to the team BUT ACTUALLY DELIVERED. That's why people don't remember his first handful of test matches.

If living in the past and vouching on past performances' shatters credibility, then you'd better hang the selectors too. From giving Mark Waugh a game on reputation alone to giving Brad Haddin a bat recently is certainly that.

By the way, how are you going coming up with another unlucky NSW cricketer who didn't make national selection but deserved it?

Finding only one player in the past 30-40 years only proves the argument against NSW.

Find more and you may actually have a chance in this debate.

or the token Victorian selection.

Haha - what like the test team for the past year? You are clutching at straws. He was the best option for an allrounder, and we should at least take one on a world cup tour don't you think? As for Symonds, well his form was more questionable but I guess they wanted two allrounders, there was no one better at the time. I can't think of a time that Harvey has been overly favoured at the selection table.

Harvey is a good bowling all rounder and Symonds is a good batting all roudner.

depending on the pitch, conditions, and how many dud NSW players have to be carried in the side, will dictate when and where these two players play.

and btw clarke should have to pay for running harvey out, dud clown.
also that obrien lad looks ok, single handedly saved the great NSW from humiliation.

lmfao
no chance

but looks like a handy all rounder for future so the "australian" side can get rid of that pesky Qlder and that dratted Victorian.

now all we need is slater to learn how to catch BEFORE the ball bounces and out goes haydo's again.

the new Australian side?

1 slater
2 gilchrist (as a batsman) (ex Squelchy)
3 jacques
4 katich
5 clark
6 haddin
7 Thornley
8 O'brien
9 McGilla
10 Bracken
11 bing

12 lehmann
(have the south aussie serving drinks like they should)

If he'd been selected after his blistering domestic form this year, that would be fine. But he wasn't. That's the point.

Might have had something to do with his English form, aswell as the fact that he can bowl ..
