Can't wait to see Hammo play, but looks like i'm gonna have to wait a little.
I don't see how he can only be out for 1-2 weeks after surgery though. Seems a little short

In recent seasons a handful of players have played the weekend after having arthroscopic surgery. I'm not saying this will be the case with Hampson, but the relatively non-invasive nature of arthroscopic surgery makes it possible for players to have minimal down time afterwards.

But, does the Hun say whether it's 1-2 weeks (as in, including this week where there is no footy) or is that 1-2 rounds of the season?...

He's still a chance to play in Round 1, but Round 2 looks a good bet.

I spoke with MH (Carlton Committee member) on Sunday, he mentioned that it was removal of floating bone & if the Richmond game was a Saturday Hampson would play, so is touch & go for round one, but locked in for round 2.

Not bad news considering.........

in the greald sun it sed he had a 'bruised testicle' and would be out for 6 weeks lol.

BAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA:D:D:D:D:D:D

He did sustain a bruised testicle in the Hawthorn game.

And NO anatomically complete male would laugh at this predicament, it begs the question...

If the RFC game was this Sat, Hammer would play, but round 1 is only touch and go??

Good news for us. Hampson has been flying this pre-season, and we need him out on the ground. At worst, hopefully he'll only miss one game.

Apologies, bit of a misqoute by myself........

Hammer would be right to go if Round 1 was on the Saturday (not Thursday) give there would be that extra few days of rehab / recovery / training time.

Mark still said that he may play, but would definitely be right to go round 2.

Good news I'd say.:thumbsu:
