always the poor cousin, even if we are financially well off..... the first 16 years of just plain mediocrity and ineptittude is hurting when it comes to recruitment.... Thank christ we managed to snare Ross Lyon. now that can all change.... It would be worth getting ryan crowley over to see any potential targets and get him to talk about how good life under ross lyon is and how the club is faring

impressions tend to last, there is no doubt about that. Which makes it all the more galling when good young freo-supporting lads like brad shepherd end up at west coast. alas, we cant have them all.... things will change with sustained success. Hopefully 2013 can be the first eyar we play back to back finals, and can build on the good work done in 2012.... the more success, the more support, the more appealing the club becomes for recuits.

Funny - I had this very conversation with my Gummies supporting son last night... Mainy, Cuzzy, Kerry, Chicky - all products of East Freo, all weagles - and yes, they could / can all play. Oh, and of course, they are all fine, upstanding, well-respected citizens to boot...
