I don't think the review panel will take lightly to the fact that the player has come back from a misconduct matter and again acts in a similar silly way. Will either get given a holiday or get given a free trip to the tribunal.

It was a half-arsed bump that only resulted in blood because of a pretty tame head clash.
Nobody should get suspended for that.

Who knows what the outcome will be. It was head high and off the ball so he'll be cited. But how dumb is it to place yourself in that position first game back after suspension.

Think there is incredibly little time for this sort of behaviour given to the MRP. They don't support it and also deal with it especially with their repeat cases.

It was a bump that ended in a head clash. 90%+ of bumps don't end up that was so how was Harvey to know?

It was off the ball mate. Went for the man. That's his problem. Still say it was dumb to place himself in that position first game back after suspension.

London to a brick he'll be cited. Who would know the outcome.

It's a stupid rule, but that's the rule. If you choose to bump and make accidental high contact it's rough conduct (which is regarded more serious than striking). If they have applied the rule a couple of times already this season they should apply it again.

Based on two individual incidents that saw Nathan Fyfe suspended for a total of 4 weeks (after loading and carry over), this particular incident couldn't be grades as anything less than High (head clash), Intentional (not in direct play - intention was to bump) and Medium Impact (Fyfe incident was graded as medium as there was no concussion, but drew blood).

Fortunately precedent rarely counts for anything when it comes to the MRP and the outcome here could be anything.

Oh, I agree. But I was just saying that it wasn't a situation that he really knew he was getting into, in comparison to when he gave one to Kerr in the 2012 final. Not really 'dumb', just unlucky.
