It has been reported in todays West newspaper that Freo coach Mark Harvey plans on trading aggressively to bolster his talented squad.
After finishing a very pleasing 14th this season he believes a few key trades will add the necessary polish to grab a top 4 spot next year.
Even if Harvey fails to make the top 8, Chairman Rick Hart offered his blind faith in the coach, saying "there is no rush on success at our club"
When asked yesterday what players he was targeting, Harvey admitted he was keen to bolster his forward line with a livewire small forward and considered using the Club's first round draft selection to secure the services of the enigmatic Jeffery Farmer. Harvey believes Farmer's discipline and ability to quietly go about his business is what is missing from his Club.
Harvey also mentioned a 3 way trade with Carlton and Melbourne was all but done. He is granting the young Robbie Warnock's wish of returning to Victoria by accepting Carltons offer of a first round pick and Lance Whitnall, he then plans to move that pick onto the Demons in exchange for Jeff White and Adam Yze.
With this type of forward planning already in place one can not help but be excited about Fremantle's rise to a genuine top 4 outfit.
