Has Rayner EVER been dropped?

100%.

The club's found the key to him and it's working . But comparing him to Dusty or Petracca is still a long way off though it must be said he's been able to do the sorts of things that they can do on occasions of recent weeks.

I don't believe the club thinks he'll ever be predominant midfielder and once we stopped trying to make him that he's found his niche.
do we downgrade him and say he reached Jake Stringer levels? :)

That’s a hell of a downgrade.

I don’t think that we have seen the best of Cam Rayner yet.
Hopefully there is more improvement for Cam in the next 2 months.
However, opposition coaches will be putting some time into reducing Rayner's influence.
Interesting time for Rayner.
Can he absorb the extra pressure that likely comes his way and still play well.

It would be nice if opposition coaches were conflicted on who to tag, Neale, Rayner or McCluggage, we bat pretty deep through the midfield now.

A core group of Neale, Dunkley, McCluggage, Berry, Ashcroft with varying times rotating through from Rayner and Bailey is the equal of any in the competition IMO.

Plus a primary winger in Fletcher.
