The SCG kept the old ladies stand which looks great.
But does it have any trees?

It also holds only 48k and the old stands look disjointed from the rest of the stadiumThe SCG kept the old ladies stand which looks great.
Do you prefer homogenous concrete stands all the way around that could be any stadium in the world? It also holds only 48k and the old stands look disjointed from the rest of the stadium
I prefer grounds that are practical and make best use of the land they are on. The Adelaide Oval rebuild was done well. The SCG looks average in comparisonDo you prefer homogenous concrete stands all the way around that could be any stadium in the world?
They are. Getting from one stand to another us like trying to solve a maze in some places. Those two beautiful old stands camouflage a pretty bog average stadium overall. It also holds only 48k and the old stands look disjointed from the rest of the stadium
Go to the London Tavern and have a nice Parma and a few beers in the beer garden like a normal person does. What about the 2 hours before the game starts, you're looking at concrete.
Or go to the Royal and see something better than Trees that start with T.Go to the London Tavern and have a nice Parma and a few beers in the beer garden like a normal person does.

None, but's there's nothing distinguishing about the MCG now apart from the size. What other stadiums in the world have you been to? How do their aesthetics match up to the MCG with the same capacity limits?

A view of a treeIt's a 100 odd thousand capacity stadium designed to cater for massive events both sporting and/or entertainment. I've been to a few worldwide and I'm sure there are many on Bigfooty that have been to more than me. What do you want that the MCG distinguishes itself from the others?
Replace goals with gum treesWhy aren't we getting more trees on the playing surface itself?
It's very sterile as it is. Couldn't we have more of a "kick about at the park" vibe for AFL games?
Gold Coast could even turn their stadium into a beach.
