Hopefully crows go down again today so we can't lose a home qualifying final. We probably have to consider bringing in Bailey to go against Cox and Natuini. No point risking Rioli at this stage unless he is 100%.
In: Bailey
Out: Anyone with a slight injury that could use one last chance for a rest.

Lol at those calling for Whitecross to be dropped and for Ellis to stay in. It wasn't Whiteys best game last night but he has been a consistently good player this season. On the other hand, Ellis has played decent games against GC and Port and has done nothing much since 08. Smith didn't have a great game last night either and has been average this year so should Ellis stay in ahead of him?

Barring injuries, only change will be Rioli for Ellis (if he is ready).

No change.
Don't get sucked into playing an extra tall.
Do not risk Cyril.
Ellis to play a whole game to get some touch.
Young, Smith or Pup the sub.

I'd stick with the same team unless Rioli is ready.

I'd give Ellis a full game though and maybe play Pops as the sub.

Not so worried about the Eagles talls up forward. Win the midfield battle and it doesn't matter who's up forward. If they do play Cox, Lynch, Kennedy and Darling together, then I'd play Schoey on Cox, Gibbo on Kennedy and rotate Stratts, Birch and Hodge on Darling and Lynch.

Glass normally does pretty well in shutting Buddy down so will be interesting to see how that match-up goes.

I'd also play Sewell on Priddis and give Shiels some time on Kerr. Expect Selwood to take Mitchell.

WhiteX has had a very consistent season. Gosh, one below par game and people want to dump him. He is a fair margin ahead of Ellis. (though I like X and hope he finds top gear).

No change. Can't risk Rioli if it's touch and go.

Yeah all depends how everyone pulls up after the game. But should be no change.

Sewelly may need a rest, with that knee. Do not want to risk anyone if we don't have to.

I don't understand how Whitecross is a fair margin ahead of Ellis. I think this sells Ellis short. The two are very comparable in what their role to a team would be, and when I look at their games objectively, I see areas where Whitecross is marginally better, and other areas where Ellis is marginally better.

These two are probably competing for a similar spot, and no doubt the match committee is going to have a difficult decision when Cyril comes back. Whitecross has the advantage only of being the season long incumbent.

If Rioli isn't right then definitely don't rush him back. If he is right then Ellis should go out.

Suckling should be the sub. Opposition coaches are manning him up now and he's not handling it. When the heat starts to die out of the game and we start getting it on the outside he is an amazing weapon to inject into the game.

No, he is not. I like WhiteX, a lot. But he is a chronic fumbler when the pressure is on. He's a bloody good 23rd man to have, but for mine, Ellis is more composed under pressure (which is what finals football is all about).

Whitecross should not be dropped after one poor game.

He's been great this year and there would be quite a few who would be dropped before him.

In: Rioli
Out: Ellis

Time to put on the park, the side that will take us to a flag (hopefully), no need to f..k with the side now!

And people suggesting that Hale be dropped for Bailey, Have a look at yourselves in the mirror, biggest load of s..t I have ever heard. Hale and Rough will invite the contest with Cox and Nic Nat.

Rioli won't be back (wouldn't surprise me if he misses first final with the hope of getting the following week off also)

If he is then I think Smith should make way. Hasn't been mentioned again (flys well under the radar).
Did he get to double figures this week? Playing sydney is what it'll be like in the finals (despite MCG), tough & contested. We don't need him Birch, Rioli, Suckling, Young all in the one side. Smith the one with poorest form- so he's out for mine. Also I'd like to say that i was WRONG in a big way about Burgoyne...but think that his less valuable down back and on the pill (master stroke by Clarko throwing him forward!)

People calling for Whitecross to be dropped clearly have a very short memory. If you're basing it on him playing poorly against the swans, there were probably 10 other players that deserved to be subbed out at the same time. Pull your heads in.

Cyril for Ellis if Cyril is fit. That is all.

WhiteX has had a very consistent season.

Yes he has, but he does seem to be tapering off in the last few games. Don't know if anyone else has noticed his kicks going astray more often. Seems to have developed a habit of letting the ball "hang" a bit at the ball drop stage and losing some control through his kick. Kicks are going higher and wider (more erratic). If he gets on top of that I still think he has a lot to offer the team. Is versatile and strong in the body. Good balance. Ellis could be a possibility to take his role, but not sure his body is up to a tough finals series.
