Just like Geelong right? Minor premiership sewn up, absolutely nothing to play for so why bother? Good teams find reasons to show up and play no matter who the opponent is; pretenders play when they feel like it and make 1000 excuses when they don't.
Eh that is fine. I do not know if you can remember but we were 16th last year, 9th compared to 16th is much better. If we continue to rise we will be finals contenders next year.
I am not expecting the tigers to do something magical and make the finals the year after getting the spoon, that would be very optimistic.
This year I really do not care if we are 9th at the end of the season. I am a happy 'Ninthmond' supporter as I thought we would still be 11th or 12th, not this close to the top 8 at this time of the year.

So true... Another typical game from Roughead too, can't produce when the team is down. Deplorable performance from a grossly overrated player. The Hawthorn side(especially Franklin) makes him look a million times better than what he is.

TBF, the gulf between first and second is huger than I can recall in my 35 years of watching AFL. Enjoy it tiggers, you deserved it and were great today. Honestly deserved win. Hawk supporters can whine all they like about anything and everything but the Tiger's were on their game and that's why they won. On that though, there is a snowball's chance in hell they'd be able to do that to Geelong though so it's nothing more than a **** measuring contest. That also goes to all the teams that have rolled either Hawthorn or the Bulldogs this season. Beating the Bullies or Hawks versus beating the Cats is like comparing smashing Brett Lee for six with a tennis ball than a platypus with no pads off 67 steps on a 5m pitch on a 8m squared backyard. This year's Premiership is a given to the Catters. I just hope for the sake of the game that we can go up about 15 levels next year to get near them.

Hawthorn are a mile behind Geelong at the moment, anyone can see that , but given that they are still the second best team in the comp. I just hope they can play at there best come finals time otherwise without sounding arogant ,its going to be just like last years Granny

Okay, Taylor isn't shit...however he isn't exactly a top 22 player for you guys and has a long way to go. Yes he beat Roughead one night...however they are the same age and Roughie has kicked 59 goals this season, pretty good when your team always goes to Buddy.
When Mooney was 21 in his first season at Geelong he kicked 6 goals in 6 matches. And look at him now, 67 goals last season. So Roughead at 21 kicks 59 with matches to go...could easily have plenty of upside. And no he is not overrated. If you think that, well you really don't rate many young players.
