While there is a 1 in a million chance of the Hawks making finals which would make it extremely exciting, your going to be extremely disappointed to know that hawk supporters aren't going to be surprised to miss - it's what happens when you get smashed early in the season - que sera sera.
Good luck with the run home

Absolute myth the "hawthorn will sink further"...hodge and Gibson will retire. So what. Gibson is finished. Hodge has been serviceable this season but nothing special. Burgoyne will play next season and maybe the one after. He's the best of the 30+ by a mile. Next year we wil see a fit- Birchall, Stratton, Rioli and Frawley. All have 3+ years left. Throw in omera who will hopefully play the entire season.
This season all of: Sicily, brand, Howe, Hardwick, glass have shown fantastic signs.....
Did I mention Ryan burton is under 20 and tom Mitchell is only 24???
Hodge is done at the end of this year, he's not the player he was but every game the kids get with him in the back line is worth it's weight in gold for their development

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha genuinely zero chance of that happening

The Saints aren't beating Port Adelaide in Adelaide. Then you've got tough games against West Coast (Etihad), Melbourne (MCG), North Melbourne (Etihad) and Richmond (MCG) still to come. None of those games are easy.

My thoughts are JOM might retire at 2018 year end and first round for StK this year will be the next Chris Judd

Oh, so his career will be wasted at a club who did nothing?

Why would a Haw be referencing the past? Those players were good around n 2015, bit tye new era is already in.

Hawks should trade the has beens like Poppy And JOM

Agree with this. Its what Hodge does without the ball in hand Hawthorn are going to miss the most. Like having a coach out there on the ground.

Except that you're talking about St Kilda meeting expectation.... which is "genuinely zero chance of happening".

You need to learn how to calculate chance.

Port in Adelaide, WC at Etihad, Melbourne and Richmond at the 'G. You could easily lose three of those, in which case we could still lose another game and finish above you.

Keep sweating for a bit yet champ.

You're club's been rebuilding for close to 25 years. You've had countless top 3 draft picks. Countless top 10 draft picks...you've even had to raid GWS...in the space of 10 weeks, Clarkson has achieved more than your club has in close to a quarter of a century with "no youth" and certainly no top 10 draft picks. Let that sink in...

Clarkson never had players who were top picks to work with? Interesting

Honestly hope the Hawks stick it up the Saints and finish above them after all the shit they spruiked earlier in the year.

Pretty much. He hasn't been consistently amount our best for a while now but he's leadership is still second to none.
Directed traffic brilliantly last night and kept Sicily in line when he looked like he was about to lose it.

This thread isn't about Carlton or any other teams other than Hawks, St Kilda and can throw Suns in there too

See everyone has had a lot of first round picks everywhere
It's a debate about the value of first round draft picks.

Melbourne, carlton and Gold Coast provide a lot of evidence in this debate
