Bomber win would be a pin cushion bounce?See, that's the thing about dead cat bounces. You take them seriously at your peril
Do you have money on him to win the brownlow or something?I’ll be laughing myself all the way to the bank when O’Rourke comes good. You watch
Dead tigers too. Everybody gets a car!Dead cats, dead hawks, dead bombers.

obvious deflection is obviousBomber win would be a pin cushion bounce?
Or would that be your 2017?
The ladder is interesting at the present time. Did you have a nice evening? No sh1t...what else do you get on a footy forum!?
It is always hardest being objective with your own team. I struggle with the Pies as always think a young guy will be good, even a guy like Mayne try and justify why he could work.
But without the emotional investment, pretty clear the Pies going nowhere.
It was clear the Saints were in for a world of hurt after 2012.
The Dockers poor second half of 2015 showed signs that the fall of 2016 was coming.
Hawks finish to 2016 gave similar signs, they have continued at the start of 2017.
Fair enough if as a supporter that you stick fat and want to believe...
IMO the cliff has arrived, and the Hawks pulled the wrong strings during the off season which will hurt them even more.
How long exactlyAfter many years of flogs with brown & gold avatars spouting off like they had something to do with their team's success, the schadenfreude of this season will keep me happy for a long time.
Did that light include extinguishing finals hopes for Essendon in 2018? It was worth the waitThe problem with Smith and Breust is that the more they play this year, the more currency they've lost. They've been hopeless. Plus they're on good money at Hawthorn, being in the leadership group and on long deals. Not sure they'd get the same coin and duration elsewhere as they negotiated before this year's catastrophe.
Not sure they could get away with trading out Rioli after trading out the rest of their heart and soul in Mitchell and Lewis last year plus losing Hodge.
That pretty much leaves only Gunston who's probably their most important structure player.
Hawthorn are in terrible, terrible shape and it looks like a long way to the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hawks don't look like regrouping anytime soon. But at this stage the very first pick they have in the 2017 draft is GWS Second Round pick. I am expecting GWS to finish high in 2017 and their second round to be a pick in late 30's to easily 40's
But the fact is as part of last years plans to bring in Jaegar O'Meara, they had to make trades with a number of teams, one being St Kilda to get Pick 10 which was used to forward to the Suns. In exchange the Hawks gave Saints their 2017 FIRST ROUND pick which the reality is at this very moment Hawks sit last on the ladder and it looking like being Pick 1 in this years draft.
Could St Kilda end up with the Hawks pick 1 this year? Would that give the Hawks coaching staff, recruiters and board members have migraines for the remainder of the year knowing this?
How would St Kilda be feeling right now?
really necessary bump
Enjoy another year of no finalsHawthorn has not bottom out this year, that will come next year when they loose their veteran players. Possibly wooden spoon contention next year, then start the rebuilding phase.

You need to be careful with comments like that when the season is as close as it is. You still have to beat Geelong and Sydney in Sydney. There is also a strong possibility that you could miss out if you drop those games.Enjoy another year of no finals
Totally could miss finals. Making the point that we aren’t wooden spooners. Far cry from itYou need to be careful with comments like that when the season is as close as it is.
