AFL gives money and assurances, complainants agree not to drag the AFL as an entity into the courts. Hawthorn and coaches are fair game though.

This doesn't resolve anything though. It's the parties promising not to implicate the AFL as an entity in anything further and the AFL saying "well we can't prove our lads broke any AFL rules".

It sounds to me like the AFL as an organisation is in the clear but the coaches still have a fight on their hands, or am I misreading that? And there'll be no AFL imposed penalties on Hawthorn/coaches but the courts/HRC still might.
