Vision has emerged of an incident where Hawthorn had 19 players on the field during their clash against Carlton on Thursday night.

St Kilda champion Leigh Montagna thought the incident was “strange” while Hawthorn legend Jason Dunstall was also left bewildered.

“It’s strange, isn’t it? So, if it happens in general play, it would be a free kick and probably a goal, a 50m penalty and a goal, but because it happens in between goals, it’s just nothing?” Montagna posed.
