I hope we're not into Neade.

He may have some evasive skills but is not quick, not strong, can't kick more than 45m, and hasn't exactly been playing well with Port. He's fighting for a spot with Karl Amon and behind Chad, Robbie and Sam Gray, obviously but when Lindsay Thomas is ~31 and getting games, there isn't much hope he'll get games for us. Bruest, Poppy, now Nash will all have spots in the forward line plus 2 x KPF and a resting/rotating Mid. I'd prefer putting faith in Ollie based upon the BHH reports on BF.

I chuck all my clothes in, press 'Express 30 mins', and hit 'Go'.

None of this separating delicates, whites/colours shit..
I washed the clothes once, ruined my wife’s favourite dress in doing so
“Leave the washing to me” she said!

I made my wife breakfast in bed for her birthday once
She hated my scrambled eggs
“Stay out of the kitchen” she said!

It’s just a pity I’m a wiz on the vacuum cleaner :p

If Mitch McGovern was intent on joining Carlton he would’ve nominated them already as his club of choice. There’s no reason for him not to make an announcement by now.
If you read the Carlton board he will announce some time this week his preference is Carlton as he has agreed to their offer

Mind you, the Bluemours thread is the funniest thread on BF

Easy thing to say until you are staring it down yourself and being advised by your manager who is earning 5% per year of your salary!!!!!!
Extra 300k a year is a lot of money. Even after tax..... 180k clear to invest for your future is very hard to say no too I would imagine.

Tell that to TL.

It's easy to say that from the outside, but that money carries with it a lot more than it would for me and you.

Dylan Shiel going to Carlton on big money means press speculation, it means copping the blame when Carlton don't perform, it means genuine stress for the player who has the contract in front of him. When you add to that how demoralising it would be to play for a club that loses when you're brought up to want to win at all costs, I reckon you could take or leave it.

Money isn't everything.

Imagine how much money players like Hodge, Mitchell, Rough could have taken if they'd gone to the expansion clubs in their prime? Word is that Hodgey is making more now than he was for his last couple of years on our list, so obviously people play for success and to be part of a great team just as much as cash.

You'd also think that it would be easier to crack a media gig once your playing days are over if you were part of a successful club. As a former player, transitioning into a successful media career is usually because you are liked and it would be harder to achieve you would think if it was perceived you went to a team because of money rather than success. I'm not saying you couldn't do it but fans would be quick to call you out if you did only seek the $$$.

The other thing to mention is that wether the players admit it or not they definitely do care about what the public perception of them is. They'd say they don't if you ask them but is all BS. A players marketability is important because it opens up so many options post football. Just imagine the media offers Roughie will get once he retires. EVERYONE loves the big Rough and why wouldn't you cause he is a blokes bloke respected by all.

You would be open to changing your mind if a club valued you at 800k a year and then bottom feeders started throwing 1.1 a year on the table.

Crazy times. North Carlton and Saints have millions spare and desperately want to land a quality player

Watch the Swans as well as they could be ready to throw ridiculous coin again.

Hanners
Tiprat
Rohan
Lloyd possibly.

What a time to be a Footballer!!!
So all this time Tom Lynch would open to change his mind from Richmond if Hawthorn offered more

I think the enormity of ours and the Pies offer did make him consider it but the agreement, wink wink, handshake whatever you want to call it was sorted a long time back.

I enquired early in the year and the answer was, (before any of this stuff started) “he would be a Tigers player and this has been a long time in the making”.

So my information and source is completely different to what Topiary and a few others have been sharing about this whole saga from the start.

Don't believe everything you read in the papers. The media is no longer about being right....it's about being first with "a" story.
Last place I go for my juicy trade goss is the media LM.
Hawks big fish thread is my go to. :D

Probs still can't bring himself to say it out loud...

I think something was said earlier in the year, but has there been any interest in Hannebery from us?
Breust & Roughy had plenty of interest back in 2014, but we seem to have cooled a bit since then
