Might also be being held up by the trade period nit starting yet. Also Gold Coast would be foolish to match Lynch offer, doubt they will get more than pick 3.

GC is definitely not going to match an offer to Lynch. They may threaten to, but they won't.

If he was coming to us, why meet with other clubs when he approach us in the beginning of the year

On SM-G955F using BigFooty.com mobile app

Standard procedure for managers in this situation would be to (1) meet with as many clubs as possible, and (2) tell that story as widely and as loudly as possible.

Andy Maher would have every right to feel silly & embarassed given his assurance that Shiel would nominate the blues, yesterday.

But then he's a Carlton fan & so silly & embarassed is kinda his thing...

His kids follow Hawthorn. Says it all.

Seems like no-one including the media and our inside Intel here have NFI what's going on, that's what I'm getting. Andy Maher needs to get a grip

I wouldn't take that as offensive to us. I take it that he sees enormous value in Wingard and you try to keep that kind of talent. Also, I suspect that Judd regrets leaving WCE, so tends to lean toward players staying at clubs where they are established. None of that relates to Hawthorn.
He's also an eye-gouging, chcken-winging sniper so there is that.

Unless they want players and not picks.
They can trade pick 3 for any player they like. If gold coast want players then they need to convince them to nominate Gold Coast. Richmond cannot forse a player to go there.

Things are seriously messed up at that club if they cant convince guys in their 20's to live in gold coast and get payed big bucks.

I've never been super keen on Shiel, particularly if there were other options. I think there's a good reason GWS saw him as the most expendable player. No great loss if he doesn't nominate us. Lynch was much more of a let down.

Sydney saw Tom Mitchell as their most expendable mid as well and that worked out pretty well

Tom Mitchell was getting held back by Sydney, Dylan Shiel has a starting midfield spot. We've seen what Shiel can do but Titch had a largely unexplored amount of potential and is now performing to that level.

Completely different.

mentioned this morning that the following player would be out of the club

Kurt Heatherley
Dallas Willsmore
Will Langford
Jonathan Ceglar
Jonathan O'Rourke
Brendan Whitecross
Tim Obrien

3 of these players have been confirmed today

Kurt Heatherley
Dallas Willsmore
Jonathan O’Rourke.

I expect 1 -2 player more to go from this list
And none of that is relevant to “Hawthorn trade and FA targets”.

Yes we will remove or move posts that aren't relevant to this thread.
We are trying to keep this thread on the topic of free agent or trade targets
Not who is leaving, not how we get targets in, not who we should have drafted 17 years ago
