The perfect scenario would be Lynch +Gaff as FA and keep all our draft picks but obviously cockring would match and force a trade.
Realistically I think Shiel and some complimentary pieces is what GW will be aiming for.

If we focus on the option to load up for the draft let’s swap picks so we only have 3rd and 4th rounders. That’s where we seem to do our best work at draft day.
Are we losing hope on Wingard?
I’ll call it now. There’s no ferken way we have the currency for both. It’s Chad or Dylan.

In all seriousness, if we have committed to Shiel then we probably had to back out of wingard. Can’t see how we would get both and it isn’t our style to over commit.

I find it hard to believe that Chad would want to go to an Etihad tenant.
I can’t see Lynch coming out way. If we got Gaff (a reliable, consistent midfielder), id prefer Wingard over Shiel to give us that matchwinner
If we don’t get Gaff (more than likely as we have heard nothing) I would prefer Shiel over Wingard as he is more reliable and gives us the guaranteed midfield boost we need
Ultimately all four are very good players who would Improve us. If we can get one, good. Two, great. Even better if one is a free agent

Wingard would be fantastic - but thankfully we have some youth coming up that can fill the small forward role. Midfield depth is not something we are blessed with at present. If it came down to a possibility of getting Shiel or Wingard then it makes far more sense to get Shiel.

I think we pass up on paying 1mil+ for Shiel, Wingard is also after something in excess of 800-900k. Go all in on Coniglio next FA....

As I have said he is a good footballer without being outstanding not sure what all the fuss is about, he is very 1 dimensional outside polish,
Some other players possibly on the move I would focus more on are gaff,steven and neale, alot more rounded midfielders that are closer to the complete package.

Westhoff and 1 of Shiel and Wingard is what I think we will get this trade period. If we can get someone like Finlayson from the giants as well it will be a decent couple of weeks. Why anyone would go to north is anyone's guess, an irrelevant club with an irrelevant history. Enjoy playing in front of 20,000 every week.

I find it hard to believe that we would make overtures towards players and not have plans in place should all of them accept. It would be a shocking unprofessional look to have to turn a player back because we've realised we don't have the assets to acquire them.
He might look like a one dimensional player because he is surrounded by some of the best young talent in the game and is in a coaching system that doesn't utilise him as effectively as they should. Give him a specific role and watch him flourish
