This is what we should be worrying about.

Don't want suspensions so close to finals.
Am not that worried about this.

Aside from the win, i'm ridiculously impressed at how much discipline and professionalism we displayed last night.

I'm trying to pinpoint a moment when it was our guys instigating anything dodgy. We always flew the flag if something happened, but everything else we did - bumps, hard tackles, etc, was all in play. I think this is possibly what Clarko was so happy about. North were dogs, and then dogged it. We stayed strong, played hard, disciplined footy, and got over the line when we needed it.

There are a lot of what ifs (particularly had north kicked straight). But you can only really deal with what played out. And we won.

Guess we shouldn't laugh, any fine Norf get is effectively a fine for Hawthorn as we are one of their benefactors.
Yeah, but its really really really hard not too :D:D:D

It was an absolute BS free kick for sure.

Not if you believe Bruce.

"He picked him up and tried to dump him." Wrong on both counts, Bruce. Zeibel jumped onto him, and Big Boy let him drop. If he had have dumped him, he could/would have caused spinal damage, you moron.

This is THE most disgusting, disgraceful Twitter I have ever seen, mind you he is a #freekickskanga supporter.

How proud will the North supporters be about a shocking Twitter from a #freekickkangas supporter? I would ban him on Twitter.Sickening.:eek::eek:

Question for the Box Hill watchers: what's happened to Sicily's fire cracker temper?
Yesterday was just perfect for him to go nuts, but he was pretty controlled.

And I reckon James Frawley was pretty sore. That whack he got in the first quarter was pretty solid, surprised that he was able to play out the game.

Frawley was sore for sure. Played a great game too. Beaten once or twice but he really is a player in control of his game right now.

Great win.

North had momentum early, largely because the free kicks were 18-4 during the time North were on top and whenever we were getting anywhere, got pulled up by a free to North. Only when umps checked the ridiculous stats did things even up for us. 25-11 at half time and that was when the match levelled out.

As much as Hodge and Mitch are Hawk legends and seem a natural fit for coaching, Hawthorn should beware of the stifling shadow one successful era can caste over the next particularly when past players dominate the football department. Each era must create its own legacy. We only emerged from the daunting 80s legacy when an outsider in Clarko took the helm

Wasn't meaning from a coaching pov, but just visiting the players locker room on a rivalry game and encouraging them to get stuck in!

Tim Watson said he heard it in the umpires microphone also.

That embarrassment of a commentator was cheerleading so hard against Hawthorn that he was a genuine Channel 7 disgrace.

Sicily is a good forward & a peacock when the tough stuff starts.. Puffs out the chest then flutters off with his pretty feathers, chirping from the back of the pack.
I think Zebel will be looking for him next time around

Some one at north needs to remind Ferrito he's 32 years old, not 22 and that sought of rubbish picking on our
toothpick brigade doesn't win you games of footy.

Racking my brain, but I can't remember a case where Feritto had a go at anyone not about half hie size. I noticed he even backed away from Gunners.

Did I hear correctly that McDonald twanged his hamstring chasing down Rioli? (Pretty sure Mayne got a free kick for in the back when Brand did the identical thing a few weeks back)

And for all the talk about Cyril being chased down, he had slowed to a jog because he was wanting to handball over the top, but ended up having to kick because a Roo defender got in the way.

Did you see Dipper elbow the lady next to him accidently when he started celebrating? Love his passion, was never good at keeping his elbows down though lol

So every time he went before the tribunal saying it was accidental - he may have been telling the truth !!

Hartung chose his times to get involved more prudently and was much more effective

Definite improvement. Amazingly enough, Clarko shows faith in players and they lift.

Same as Sicily
No it's not. Absolutely different. Thomas sees the arm and put's his neck in contact with it, sicily felt the arm and grabbed it to keep it there. The arm came from behind him.

I actually didn't mind Firrito, but he's lost me a bit after that spineless exhibition he put on, must have taken some of Ziebell's angry pills.
