I'll stand corrected, but I don't think this is AFL Vic. They may be enforcing the rules as established, but it's a national i.e. Federal Government thing. Certainly quite out of touch with how country footy clubs work - certainly now but even in the "old" days you always had kids going up a grade. 99.9% of the club coaches/administrators would never put a kid at risk if they weren't ready.
I heard on the radio that there was a serious injury ... it may have been called off mid-game
Is there an article on the juniors playing up rule or anything like that? Seems weird that it's being enforced.

Yes, confirmed to clubs yesterday. Another blow to the HDFNL junior program. Hopefully the HB lads now missing out on a game can assist other clubs with numbers.
Are they affected by the South West District having a bigger junior setup? Maybe some play for Cavendish or Coleraine?
Have E/A lost juniors to Borders in the KNT?
Isn't the AFL Wimmera Mallee/AFL VIC being strict on the juniors 'playing up' hurting these clubs? Soon there won't be u17s in the HDFL!
HB still favourites for me ... admittedly I was only listening to it on the radio, but they seemed to have Rup's measure when it was needed.
