I'm not worried about Cloke...if he was all about the money, he would've gone to Essendon a few years back. He wants to wear black and white. Shaw is the same. Cloke just has David as his manager and therefore, being a w***er just for the sake of it.

As for Ben Reid...probably the most important signing. He is a young AA key back who is getting better each time we see him, and is clearly a type hard to find. Has size, great hands, very athletic and has confidence. Has upside as a forward for some clubs too no doubt.

He is the one that looms as a great investment for any club, and with his brother doing well also, it lifts his price tag even more. Out of the Pendleburys Thomas' Shaw's Cloke's Swan's etc, he is the one I am less convinced will sign, so hopefully him talking to the club news is right.

GWS getting smashed and being located a two hour round trip away from anywhere livable doesn't hurt.

Heath Shaw is a veteran in 2013 so even if Robbo is correct that figure won't be what goes under our salary cap. The amount under the cap will most likely be around 350-375k (again only if the 450k is correct).

What are the rules for vets? I thought you could have 2 players with 10+ years have their salary halved??? Has this changed?

Nah you can have as many as you want, as long as they meet the criteria.

the only catch is if you have two, 50% of their salary comes off the cap, if you have three 33% of their salary comes off, if you have four it's 25% and so on.
