Ended up being a cracking games. Was interesting to watch from the side lines. Got a very different perspective then if i was playing. I thought Elmore were super impressive in the first half. Very slick ball movement and plenty of numbers at the contest which allowed them to spread run and then deliver to Hayes. I think the big change in the second half was our attack on the ball and the man in te ball. We also were able to get first use of the ball out of the middle which is obviously a key. Overall an interesting afternoon of football. High class game with plenty of feeling.

Would be interested in your thoughts on the Fev incident bloodhound. Any weeks do you think??? Looked ordinary from where i was

Got told last night that fev took the auto week. I actually didnt think there was much in it from where I stood but i didnt see the alleged "kick" what did you make of it roota?

I believe there was a similar incident later in the game where a mounts player struck out at an elmore player in front of the umpire that didnt even get a response....

Highlight of the day for me was Routa taking on Cam Carter around the mark and threading through a sizzler of a sausage!! Also watching BOG Bill Longford burn through the centre of the ground with 2 bounces and spearing a bullet like pass directly onto a nipple. It made me laugh and cry......

Not to sure about that one mate. On The Money, Farva, diggidog, HJ and Stringy are unlucky to miss. Think Bloodhound! might be a bit undersize to play in the ruck, change him with Andy

What do you mean!! i am deceptively HUGE. How do you know how tall I am. I didnt think anyone knew who I was!!;):D

Gillabey should definitely do the prematch address.:thumbsu:

i had a pretty good look from where i was and it wasnt that pretty. couldnt believe it when i heard elmore were going to appeal the automatic week!? the ump apparently said he saw exactly what happened and if that went to the tribunal he would be gone for 4 or 5. so pretty good result for elmore and fev there

This is the best that I could come up with.

Backs; Korto13, Roota#6, Old Saint
Half Backs; HillBully, Blackvelvert, Brentmeistergeneral
Centres; Showmethemoney, The Old Sow Pig, Nesko25
Half forwards; Blackbeard, Big Ump, Conrad
Forwards; Andypipkin, Oldmanemu, Gillabbey24

Rucks; Bloodhound, We'restreaking, Teddy
Int; Froffie Monster, the ghost who walks, Trottyboya, Fantom Maggot

Coach; Doona2

Come up with a couple of logistical problems. The centre half back will probably look for the centre half forward all of the time but won't be able to find him! Probably won't see much of Trottyboya as he won't be able to drag himself out of the Top and the Hillbully might be a bit slow off the back flank. We'restreaking might have his mind on other things and Showmethemoney might not be in it for the love of it. Korto's the stand over man and Teddy is the crap rover. Gillabbey in the forward pocket so as he can take a close look at the game. All in all though Doona, I'm pretty happy with the set up, up to you now to get the changes and rotations right and we should be OK:D:D:D

You must know me well RWB. I have lost a dozen kg's on my recent "playing" weight, but wouldn't get too far out of the goal square still. :D

A kick is a kick in my book. There is no place in footy for a mongrel who kicks. Especially when it is just after the alleged player (Fev) hit a young Mounts bloke from behind !!!! What have you to say relating to this??

Football restructure needed

LEAGUE 1 – Riddell District Football League
Div 1: Gisborne, Kyneton, Bacchus Marsh, Sunbury Lions, Melton, Darley, Melton South, Riddell, and Woodend-Hesket.
Div 2: Kilmore, Wallan, Romsey, Lancefield, Sunbury Kangaroos, Diggers Rest, Macedon, Rockbank, Trentham, and Melton Central.

LEAGUE 2 – Bendigo Football League
Div 1: Golden Square, Sandhurst, South Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat, Eaglehawk, Harcourt, Elmore, Colbinabbin, Mount Pleasant, and Castlemaine.

LEAGUE 3 – Ballarat Football League
Div 1: Ballarat, East Point, Lake Wendouree, Redan, Sebastopol, Maryborough, North City, Daylesford, Hepburn, and Learmonth.

LEAGUE 4 – Heathcote District Football League
Div 1: Broadford, Heathcote, Avenel, North Bendigo, White Hills, Yea, Nagambie, Rushworth, Huntly, and Strathfieldsaye (new club to be formed next year).

LEAGUE 5 – Kyabram District Football League
Div 1: Ardmona, Girgarre, Lancaster, Merrigum, Murchison, Stanhope, Tallygaroopna, Undera, Violet Town.

LEAGUE 6 – Central Highlands Football League (merged with MCDFL)
Div 1: Waubra, Avoca, Ballan, Dunnstown, Bungaree, Buninyong, Campbell’s Creek, Carisbrook, Maryborough Rovers, and Talbot.
Div 2: Royal Park, Newstead, Dunolly, Gordon, Beaufort, Creswick, Clunes, Springbank, Newlyn, and Maldon.

Obviously VCFL and AFL Victoria experts would be better placed to make judgements on such radical changes to the above football leagues, but it certainly is something that should be considered.
No doubt the football sidelines will be swarming with discussion about this issue on Saturday as this topic continues to grow legs.

What about the LVFL surely there could be a few changes in that league to. New Bridge have been a pretty dominant club in that league would they be better off joining a stronger league, would YCW be better off joing heathcote league that way there are 4 bendigo based clubs in HDFL, Pyramid hill leaving LVFL and joining the NCFL could help boost that league, or would it be better for some of outer clubs to join other leagues and LVFL and HDFL join as more of a bendigo district football league or div 2 to the bendigo league.

As i said before i didnt see the alleged kick so i wont comment suffice to say that i dont condone kicking at all unless it is of the sherrin. People have brain explosions from time to time and fev is only human, he gets targeted week in week out and he wears that 99% of the time without ever retaliating. He is only young himself so spare me the tears about the "young" mounts bloke, is it the same one the Lock got?? maybe he needs to have a look at himself and figure out why people keep hitting him. (I say this incident and again there was not much in it at all.) I dont hear you saying anything about Krueger belting cam cail after he hit the ball or cam carters late shot on cail also that sparked the melee in the first qtr. Or any of the other incidents that occured during the game. Fev made a mistake pure and simple and like i keep saying to you mounts blokes. People in glass houses should not throw stones.

i saw alot of incidents throughout the game from both sides including the ones you have said above from mounts blokes, but only once i saw a guy get belted and then kicked in the head.

Tips boys....

LBU v WH, 6 points. LBU getting players back and should challenge at the cattery (also get up for the ball that night and Sam Newths 200th)
Heathcote v Broady, 34 points, Broady way to strong, very class outfit
Colbo v Huntly, 123 points, Silly to bag 11
North v Elmore, 74 points, Closer than many would expect, Dogs play well at the zoo but still Elmore way to good.

Have a look at my quote way back on the 2nd of July if you have time spiderweb, i was on the money even back then:thumbsu:

And how many after half time??? I tell ya, we thought we kept him pretty quiet on the weekend and he still kicked 7 or 8.....used my back as a step ladder on 1 or 2 occassions aswell....not much fun! Equal best forward in the comp for mine......

Hopefully the Hillies can spoil the party for LBU and the great man Newthy, although im sure Heathcote will be hoping otherwise. Interesting couple of games there....

You havnt been spot on about anything since you started posting. All your good for is spouting rubbish then signing back on under a different name and backing up your own statements. Your a joke.

You cant help yourself can ya!! Fair difference if someone wacks a guy in the guts (kruger) than to when someone kicks a guy after king hitting him from behind!! Cheap shots happen all the time, for sure but anyone who kicks someone when there down is as weak as piss.

Have to agree with you there bloodhound he is a yes man on this board and at home i would think,as he has to sit out in the shed to drink cans.

Bloodhound your the joke here by what everybody is saying, yes i do write in a bit of rubbish eg the sheep dog thing about some of the Elmore players but i was serious about what i wrote about Fav that day against H/Cote

Sounds to me like if the "incident" was as bad as everyone is making it out be then Feva would be sitting on the sidelines for more than one week ...

To me the Bendigo/Calder region is sound and doesn't need a revamp, for me it's the Goulburn Murray region where the real drama's are. KDFL, PDFL, BDFL, Coreen, Hume, O & K comps this is where the VCFL need to look at things due to travelling mainly.

HDFL is fine, will be better with Strath will be a top little 10 team comp. Talk of Avenel, Nagambie coming in is not on when Murch and Stanhope are closer- either way not in the equation. LBU to KDFL is silly from a travel aspect alone.

Hats off to Matty for having a go but in all seriousness it's a VCFL/Football Victoria issue and until they rejig things up north footy in our little area is fine as it is.

Well done Matt, this is well worth considering. Doona, you are right, Stanhope not in equation for HDFL - been there done that and didn't work. One major suggestion though - send Ardmona to the Riddell League.

Another logistical problem. We stupidly allowed Troy to play on the ball the other week (where he was brilliant). I think you need to move him from the wing to the back pocket because he will have a shot from 90 metres.

No different bloke. Benny McCleary is one of the toughest and hardest nuts at the pill you will come across. In the short time i have seen him play footy i have seen nothing that would suggest that he is nothing but a genuine ball player and does not deserve to be belted. To be honest i didn't get a great look at the incident. So woud not like to comment too much on it. I am merely responding to the suggestion that been needs to look at why he got belted

[/b]i saw alot of incidents throughout the game from both sides including the ones you have said above from mounts blokes, but only once i saw a guy get belted and then kicked in the head.

I think you will find that both the umpires and opposition team can say if they want it to go to the tribunal so more fool mounts and the umpires for not stating that on thier report sheets.

wouldnt mind knowing what the penalty would have been if it had of been adrian baker who kicked someone.just goes to show that poor bloke was railroaded in this comp. u never saw him do anything that ordinary always front on with bakes

my tips for round 16

colbo v huntly, well i dont know the margin of this one but i cant see huntly getting within 120 points of colbo. samm hill to kick ten plus

nth bendigo v elmore , this one wont be as easy as form would suggest ryan hayes is onfire at the moment but cam lomas is as honest as they come. the bloods will miss fev but the class of andy grant and the midfield co should see elmore get over the line by 35 points

lbu v the hillies, lbu could surprise in this one with a little bit of luck sammy (who stole my beard newth) plays 200 and i would expect big charlie to stand up after getting cut to pieces by sammy taylor last week.but if lbu let folk like the angroves and co run too loose on a big ground it could be all over by half time. hillies for me by 21 points

match of the round here heathcote v broadford. heathcote will be looking for revenge after losing at broadford in the corresponding fixture, the saints are still playing for an outside chance to play finals footy in 2007. broadford on the other hand have been in pretty consistant form for six weeks and look the dark horse this year on their day the roo boys run harder and longer than any other side but the youth of the side still dont believe how good they reaaly are . fletcher back to near best form, rowes attack on the footy and dunnes class not to mention john taylor. yhe roos look to strong and fit in this one. roos by 45 points

mounts - bye
