I think that is a pretty strong exaggeration. A good player granted but he didn't get half that amount when he was with North at the end of the 90's that included playing in a Grand Final team.
OTM I thought you would have known that the year Arentz played in the GF he only played approximately 9 games for the year and the year after won league goal kicking with around 80 odd in a side that finished outside top five or four it may have been then.

Yer I knew he didn't play the full season. So you would back him in to kick 200 goals and an average of over 10 goals a game would you??
well hae averaged apx 8 per game at toolytang the last couple of years and the cmfl is a fair bit better standard than the hdfl. Still don't think he could get many more than 150. When he played with north some time ago he would have been lucky to be 20. 80 as a 20yr old is pretty handy.

Gee who would have thought my little dig at "curls" would have caused such controversy!!! Seems like you have had a bit of a "brain explosion" of your own hawk fan!! Curls would definitely know who sam h is as they dont really like each other much and "sam h" was the cause for this outburst. HE's by no means a gun player played most of the year in the twos for elmore last year.
Diggidog ive told you once if your going to out people on this forum (not sure why you would) then you need to get it right. FOr example you are Tim Obrien #43 who plays up forward for the mount pleasant reserves. Im NOT sam H so you should check your source.

I agree with you that Bill has the odd flare up but i actually rate him as a better ruck than a backmen. minus the "brain explosions"

Martens, as far as i know will not be assistant coach. Agats has that job but i could be wrong. I think martens will be a very good addition as he brings some experience playing in a good side who played in finals. I think our lack of experience was one of the things that cost us in the grannie last year.

lets not forget tooleytang are not a bad team in the cmfl. on the other hand north bendigo aint quite as good. at tooley he probably gets the pill kicked down his gullet. wouldnt happen at north i dont think. would have to find other ways of getting goals. 200 hey roota, im sure you would have three quarters of f all knowledge in regards to the standard of the league
Having played on the man on many occassions Andy i can tell you that he is getting better and better, and the standard of backmen around the state is getting lower and lower so i would think that if he were to trot out in this league he is sire to kick a power of goals. 200 may be a slight exageration bu not much

HDFL set to delay season
THE Heathcote District Football League may delay the start of its 2007 season by two weeks.
The season is scheduled to start on Saturday, April 14, however, clubs will vote at a meeting tomorrow night at Colbinabbin on whether to push round one back by a fortnight to April 28.
'‘We're looking at it more so that if we do get rain, we're going to get an extra two weeks for the grounds to repair themselves," HDFL secretary Trevor Arnel said yesterday.
‘‘Even if it rains, the grass cover on some of the grounds is pretty basic, so if we can give the grounds a bit of extra time to repair themselves, well and good." Like many leagues around Victoria, the issue of dry ground surfaces caused by the drought and water restrictions is one of the biggest concerns facing the HDFL ahead of the season.
‘‘I have sent surveys out to all the clubs to try to get some sort of idea on how they are going with getting water for the entire year, and most of the clubs seem to think they are going to be okay," Arnel said.
Should the HDFL delay its season, it will be the second football league in central Victoria to do so.
The All Seasons Bendigo Football League season was scheduled to start on Friday, April 6, but because of the dry state of the Golden Square and Kangaroo Flat grounds, and in particular the Queen Elizabeth Oval, round one will now be played on Saturday, May 5.
In other HDFL news, all senior coaching positions have now been filled following the reappointment of Greg Byrne at Lockington-Bamawm United.
Byrne led the Cats into the preliminary final last year, where they were beaten by 14 points by eventual premier Mount Pleasant after surrendering a half-time lead.
The Cats will begin their pre-season training on January 24.

Generally if a half decent bloke in the banks, schools etc moves to the area every club is all over him and aware of his identity long before he hits town. Im sure the Storm Lad is well aware of everything round here and who's who in the local zoo and is just having some fun with us.
Must be a favourite punter or a front runner as he has asked about last season's top 3, so at a guess that puts North, White Hills, Huntly or Colbo out of contention .
