I was thinking about Johns, but still not convinced. Some cheap centres are Tambling, Dyson, Griffen, Delideo off the top of my head.

Whats everyones thoughts on Rusling with Taz now deported? I think he could be a good pick up.

Yeah, I have him in my team.
I rekon he will do really well this year filling the FF position.
He played well last year but wasn't really given much of a chance but now with Tarrent gone he will be given much more of a chance and hopefully this year can be his break through year.
Thats just my opinion tho, others might look at if differently.

Thoughts?

Nice mids, not too expensive and should average well but not sure on Pendlebury, he might get the 2nd year blues. Maybe someone like Dyson could be a better pickup. But you would know Pendles more than me so its up to you.

Plus this for a forwardline?

I think Lappin will be a good pickup if he has a good NAB Cup. Not 100% sure but I think he's cheap.

Everyone will have Kosi and with good reason too. Ryan Griffen looks reasonably priced and Deledio could be good with the preseason he has had.

Here is the big question: Who will be man enough to have Gibbs starting on the field? I'm seriously looking at that option, so could have Gibbs, Selwood and maybe Armitage as 3 of my 6 mids.

The NAB Cup will reveal all. Can't wait.

Fanfooty have him at about $275,000 for AFL Dream team I think. I figured he would be just as cheap in comparison with everyone else in Supercoach (meaning he won't be $275,000 but he'll be cheap, if you get me).


Edit: He's 397,000 on Fanfooty 2007 planner.

I'm a long way off the level of most here but some feedback would be good. I figure there's no one in my team that people don't already know about so no harm in posting.

Burgoyne (sh) Expensive but worth it
Hodge Yes
Cornes (ch) Yes
Polak Not sure, will have to have a very good NAB Cup to convince me
Goddard Had him at the start of last year, then dropped him when he didnt play and boy was i wrong
Johnson (fre) I wouldnt, has had a limited pre season with a knee clean out and there might be better options at the price.
Roughead His time to step up, i had him at the end of last year and was serviceable, but his highest score for me was just over 100.
Ellis- Will he play? I read somewhere that he wasnt going to play this year but i could be mistaken. If he does play he will be a gun and hopefully still a backman.
Smith (nth)- Injured, might be a good mid season pick up though but is injury prone.

Simpson (car)- Not sure, but imo there will be better options, Foley for the Tiges will have a ripping season.
Griffen- Yes, a move to the midfield will see him go up.
Lappin (bri)- At the right price he is a certainty, but has an unknown elbow injury.
Deledio- Yes, the tigers main midfielder is hard to go past.
Gibbs- For sure
Selwood- See Gibbs, for me its out of him and Armitage.

Cox- Must get
Campbell- No.1 ruckman and with Spider gone will average alot better. On my short list but not on my team yet.
Koschitzke- If he can stay injury free he will be bargain of the century.
Darcy- Personally no, not about the knee but he will be playing a shizen load forward and might go missing throughout some matches and will be inconsistant toward the start. Good gamble though.
Hudson- Hes in my starting team, IMO i would swap him and Darce around.
Meeson- Meeson, Maric, i dont know whos better but will be getting one of them.

Pavlich- Yes, captain. In my team and will do very well.
Bruce- Pricey but will be worth it.
Murphy (fre)- HELL YES! My fav Freo player!
Brown (ric)- Must get at the price. Having a ripping pre season from all reports.
Simmonds- Injured and imo there will be better options.
Johnson (wb)- Either him or Aker, i went with Aker only because he was cheaper. Both will score about the same i would imagine.
Edwards(nth) No, might be a good mid season or bench pick up but i wouldnt start him. Buddy Franklin might be a better option.
Hansen- Yes....GUN!
Davey(ess) Looked good in the Aboriginal game and is on my short list. If he lines up round 1 he is in my team.

How much change do you guys think you should keep so that you can always make the trades you want? Do you start out with a lot in the bank and gradually let it dwindle away?

I think it is an important part of the game and an area I often screwed up in last year (missed a lot of trades I wanted by 50,000 or so).

I say just go out with the best team possible and hope for the best. If they get an injury and i cant replace them with a bench player than i would have to trade them for someone of the same price. Theres a lot of skill involved with SC and with the same token you need a bit of luck and you will do alright Anyway thats my philosophy.
