In particular I was wondering if I have taken to many risks? I was also wondering if it would be worth downgrading Mattner to Ellis and upgrading Lucas to Reiwolt and Cooney to Hayes

Yea that looks like a very nice team:thumbsu:. A couple of weakpoints in Palmer and Dew, but heaps of superstar to back that up. I would opt for Muston over Ebert looking at the NAB cup matches but Bird is a really nice choice, you're one of the few people I've seen with him in their team but he had a great NAB cup match with I think 17 touches and 95 SC points so scores well and is already showing potential to rack them up. I think there are better options than Dew.

is coughlan playing round 1 and will he play as good as he did before he was injured.also thoughts on sam butler will he play round 1.

Would you like to share them? Please don't say Hawkins or Thompson. At around $280,000 there is very little on offer.

Is Gilmore a possible starting player??

was is just a once off that he played so well?

Get on dan bradshaw..with a gun midfield of adcock, lappin, black, power and tj sendin the ball down he's bound to get his fair share of ball inside 50..and if he has a season anywhere near wat he had in 06 where he averaged about 93 then hes well worth the risk.

What is wrong with Hawkins? Geelong will still dominate. And N Ablett is gone.

Only Lonergan to compete wit hahaha.

Are you another person who doesn't realise he won't play Round 1...?

Warnock will come into the side and Gilmore will be reduced to an average SC player.

Thats if Warnock is healthy.

Thoughts on Salopek? Seriously impressive at the wkend but will not get the same tog with the cornes' n burgoynes 2 return. Worth a punt or look elswhere?
How much upside does he hold? I had him last year and improved slightly until being injured mid-way through the season. Scored consistently after coming back. What sort of improvement does 2008 hold?

You relaise he's had a limited pre season. Long odds to play Round 1 also.

Y not Hawkins? He should get the CHF spot at Geelong now. Richard Douglas going into his third year as a top 20 draft pick. And if u bump up the cap a little u get to Nick Gill who may become a permanent key forward at Adelaide with Perrie and Welsh gone and Hentschel coming back from season ending injury. On the flipside you could go lower down to Jarrod Harbrow who will make the starting 22 as often as Dew and probably will get more of the ball as well.
You're right, there isn't all that much on offer around that mark, so a better idea is to not put yourself in the position of having to select a defender 300, 000- to put in your starting 22.

where have ya seen that he wont play round 1?..bounce down is still a month away..says he'll be ready for round 1 on the brissy site.

Sorry no source, but I did hear Leigh Matthews on a Sports Central radio interview that happened perhaps 3-4 weeks ago, he said Bradshaw was behind in rehab and will struggle to make rnd 1. Possibly rnd 4-5.
