To be honest I think he should come back. Guys like Nicoski, Rosa, Staker and Graham tend to need a kick up the bum. I think Nicoski is more of a danger when he plays, because he could end up scoring 20 points.

You're right, but he's bloody cheap. Can't really find a reason to trade him.

1. He scored less against Carlton and North last year than he did this year.

2. Never trade out guns unless they have a long term injury or become Barry Hall 2007 and score 10 point games.

It will hurt seeing him drop 75k-100k over the next few weeks but you just got to keep the faith.

Just did a bit of research on him and his scores have come from nowhere. Has never scored anything like it, and his preseason was very poor.

And why trade Newman?

i know its only round 2 but im not sure if i should keep the faith with blokes like aker, fev, hawkins, nath thompson??

will rioli stay in the hawks side when they get all their players back?? cos trading someone like aker of fev for a youngster like lachie hanson maybe and putting rioli on my field could save me plenty of dosh to upgrade someone else.

Sick of having that 7th spot get 20-60. Not sure I can wait for Proud to come good. Sure, get's a bit of it, but disposal is poor, and will no doubt give away plenty of free kicks.

Extra trade I know, but at this stage he looks like he'll be a straight swap for Bowden soon enough anyway if things start to turn.

With Higgins out for 4 weeks I'm pretty confident I'll trade him out, the question is who for? And should I do a straight swap, or pick up a youngster and use the extra to cash to upgrade someone in my backline (preferrably Gibson) to someone more exciting?

To answer my own question, my rough calculations suggest that if I traded Higgins out for Palmer and including the 14,500 I've got left over, I'd have 600k+ to play with if I traded out Gibson. Now he's solid, but given I could be getting blokes who are averaging 100+ easily that amount of dough I'm really tempted to leave Symes, upgrade him, and deal with form slumps from the younger ones.

not happy at all with my team this week. last week i scored 2315 and was 129th. this week with pretty much the same team, except dal was cap this week instead of cc and sdt for barlow, and this week i scored my lowest ever score of 1850 and dropped to 4000. either my players must have played to their full potential or had the biggest shocker ever this w/end. peake/hurn out newman and tuck/geary in

little iffy with the last 3 starting. dont mind having houli and geary/tuck but masten starting is a bit of a worry. considering ur good score last week, you must have guns in other areas. still might want to get another gun/mid range player in there tho

I can change around the order but i think that masten will have a big game in the derby and if works well it will pay off. Either way i want to get rid of jones this week and this is the only way. Ive loaded my backline and forward line with bj, chapman, pav, brown, bowden, cornes, shaw, newman, birchall so guns arent a real problem. Starting 2 of Geary, Bird, Tuck and Masten is risky but could pay off
