Heritage round - this year, let's do it properly

Should the AFL bring in proper heritage uniforms for one round per season?

Bay,

We all know that football is just not enough without special rounds that pay homage to everything from social causes to the devastating effects of STDs.

The one glaring instance is Heritage round where we dip our hat to players of yore by wearing bastardised versions of old uniforms:

The obvious problem is that it doesn't go far enough. Where are the knee length shorts? Caps? Knee-high socks?

Enough! AFL house needs to get things in order and give us a real heritage round - including leather boots (not shoes). What say you?

It would be too confusing. Every jumper would be black, white and grey.
But we have the opportunity to go back to our original names too.

Hawthorn Mayblooms
Footscray Prince Imperials
Essendon Blood Stained... um... "Naggers"

I have no issue with other teams wearing those colours.
