They can't handle it the jealousy is rife.
Jealous of Richmond signing a so called unicorn who has shown he cannot play any position down back an 8 year contract extension?

why would he sign now when he'll command more when his contract is up?
It's good management by both club and player
have to feel for the tuggers fans, they keep getting humiliated by their own club, time and time again. it's pitiful!
They’re pretty much the same tier of shit truckTbf we have to pay someone over the next few years. On the brightside, at least he hasn't pretended to be injured after missing a crucial shot at goal from 10m out in a prelim
and what if Holmes doesn't come on? What if his hamstrings don't hold up? What if he ends up committing armed burglarie in the off season?Great management by Holmes. He can escape that sewer for big money half way through his career if he wants to. Not such great management by Geelol, to only have your best player tied up for 4 more years.
But I guess they know they can throw an about to be re-zoned land deal at him when they need to.
nice injury trollTbf we have to pay someone over the next few years. On the brightside, at least he hasn't pretended to be injured after missing a crucial shot at goal from 10m out in a prelim

Smart for club, smart for player.
Enjoy 7 years of Balta at $800,000k
Poor buggers can't catch a break. All their good players demanding to leave the joint and you're left with an 8-year deal for Noah LOLta.
Saveloy Rokstar wears women's underpants
You can tell oppo flogs are petrified of the Tigers building yet another dynasty team over the next few years...
...they are coming out of the woodwork desperately trying to get Richmond to change course
Great move, as if he ever wants to leave, we'll get great picks because he is contracted.
Dusty will be lining up for his autograph. You've always been a good humoured person Chronz.
But that is some really good humour right there.
Dangerfield's not on big money. If those things happen then it will be smart by Geelong, dumb by Holmes.
But as he approaches free agency, if everything looks sound, what length of contract is he going to be offered by Geelong? other clubs will be offering him 7 year deals.
And the Cats would be th ones to talk about risky contracts. Every bloke who has turned 30 seems to get a 2-3 year extension until age 34. Dangerfield on big money has not played a full season since 2020. Hawkins, Touhy, the list goes on and on of players getting 1-2 years too many.
So I don't think Richmond will be too troubled over a big front ended contract for a key position player to the age of 32.
Dangerfield's not on big money.
Holmes will be extended a year before his contract finishes if that's his wish.
Offers will come, as they do for all players, and he will likely turn them down because he knows it's the best place to work in the league. Fewest hours required at the club, treated like an adult, well run organisation.
There aren't many key players who request trades. There's a reason for that.
Long contracts are stupid. Grundy, Franklin, Hopper, Balta, Naughton etc all prove it
Messendon supporter feigning sympathy for Richmond supporters.
Now I have seen it all.
Dangerfield's not on big money
Nice meltIm guessing a few on here have no clue how the cap works, it's there to be used, were rolling in cap space so have to use it and a long term contract means little more these days than you get pick 6 instead of pick 15 if other clubs come a knocking for the player.
Just a reminder to Elmer, Balta has won more flags in the AFL era than Carlton
So what you're saying is....Im guessing a few on here have no clue how the cap works, it's there to be used, were rolling in cap space so have to use it and a long term contract means little more these days than you get pick 6 instead of pick 15 if other clubs come a knocking for the player.

That's an awful lot of posting about Max Holmes in a Tiger thread, but I get it, the kid's a gun.Great management by Holmes. He can escape that sewer for big money half way through his career if he wants to. Not such great management by Geelol, to only have your best player tied up for 4 more years.
