One crazy man takes a gun into a public place, not sure you are ever going to be able to stop that. Whether this gets considered terrorism or just a terrible act by one person both scenarios are scary as all hell.

I think it's great that they re opened. Shows that Australians won't bow down to Muslim terrorism. I plan on going there when I visit Sydney later this year.

The place has overtaken the SCG, Harbour Bridge and Opera House as the first place I think of when I hear Sydney. As horrible as the event was, more than 3 months on I still find it fascinating.
