Bored at work and sick of dockerland, it was about 2003, didn’t create an account for years. Best decision I’ve ever made, my life is sad.

The foz > bigfootyI think I signed up because I wanted to get GF tickets somehow. Had lurked a long time before that. Don't remember how I originally found it, probably Google.
LOL, in one of the Assange/Wikileaks threads on bf I was going to post my mates and I knew Assange from when we were smashing acid at doofs every weekend and thought "there's no way anyone's going to believe this".Interviewed Assange - he remembered me from the techno days - and he said it was a good place to talk North stuff when you were overseas.
Torrents for meTrying to find footy streams back in the day and Google kept linking me to BF threads
Same. Half the fun of those district boards is trying to work out who is who, and what club each poster actually plays for within your comp.heard about a chat site talking about local footy off some guys i played with. Signed up to check it out and never left

Same year and similar story for me.https://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/09/09/1062902055171.html
Read a story in the Age about a footy website leaking the All Australian team in 2003.
Around September 2007 I was googling for a Geelong related article I had read earlier in that year and one of the results was a BF thread. The rest as they say is history.
I remember why I joined because not long after I started posting I was accused of being a bandwagon/fairweather supporter simply because I wasn't previously aware of this forum's existence. *rolleyes*
