Hey mate, really good table. Agree with most, but it appears they're all fwd and mids. No backs have been uploaded! Would be keen to see how you rate the defenders!

I see it as:
A - star
B - solid contributor, ie performs weekly
C - role player or inconsistent
D - developing/bust

and I assessed them in the role they play and the impact on the team winning. Also assuming full fitness for all players.

So in the context of right now:

Bontempelli A
Macrae A
Dahlhaus A
Daniel A
Hunter B
Wallis B
Picken B
Dunkley C
Jong C
Webb C
Liberatore C
Honeychurch D

Stringer A
Dickson A
McLean B
Crameri B (this is based on pre-ban and pre-hip injury as it's the last reliable data IMO, otherwise he's a C or D)
Redpath C
Cloke C
Smith C
Dale C
Hamilton D
Young D
Lipinski D
Greene D

Wood A
Morris A
Adams A
Johannisen A
Murphy A
Suckling B
Biggs B
Boyd C
Williams C
Cordy Z C
Roberts C
Collins D

Boyd B
Roughead B
Campbell C
English D

Geez a lot of As going around

I would rate them this way

A - Star, match winner
B - consistently high output
C - consensus best 22

I don't personally rate the A,B,C and D method of rating players
as the various roles are so different and while Bontempelli is
clearly an A grader for his poise, vision and ball use and the
versatility position wise he does not have elite leg speed. Saying
that however the other facets of his game more than provide
compensation and make him an A grader and our best player
easily.

So A grade- Bontempelli. (Then the rest start at B+)

I prefer a school like system that judges multiple facets that
illuminate strengths and weaknesses as this blend of talents is
what makes a great team.

That's why I said: I assessed them in the role they play and the impact on the team winning. ;)

Well done.

Good, fair effort. Hard to disagree with much of that.

Sorry fpcookie , i was responding to the rating system rather than
any particular rating on a particular individual player. I agree with
the way you qualified your rankings as the whole comparing any
group who are sent out with different mission statements is at
best a problematic exercise.

Note- Used the word Mission, sponsors tick.;)

D - developing/bust

Agreed with 90% of yours fp but I have the day off so I can muck around a bit:

Bontempelli A
Macrae A
Dahlhaus A
Daniel A
Hunter A (definitely an A, excels in all roles he is asked to play)
Wallis B
Picken B
Jong B (has lifted his game big time this season, great contributor despite the occasional misstep)
Dunkley C
Webb C
Liberatore C
Honeychurch D

Stringer A (would he have been a B if he hadn't been BoG last week?)
Dickson A
McLean B
Redpath C (I see him similar to Jong but not quite the consistency)
Crameri C
Cloke C
Smith C
Dale C (I reckon Dale could be considered a B after drastically improving this season too)
Hamilton D
Young D
Lipinski D
Greene D

Wood A
Morris A
Adams A
Johannisen A
Murphy A
Roberts B (Roberts has been consistent this season, I feel he was dropped because of match ups)
Williams B (another that has just lifted his game this season, similar to Jong the way he has stepped up)
Suckling B
Biggs B
Boyd C (really struggling this season, would have been top of the As this time last season)
Cordy Z C
Collins D

Boyd B
Roughead B (definitely would be an A if he wasn't coming back from his injury)
Campbell C
English D

We have a solid list right now imo. Really pleased with the way Dale, Jong and Williams have improved. Love the way Wallis has come back and hasn't missed a beat. Really disappointed in how Libba has let his game slide and saddened by Boyd's fall from grace. Campbell will need to figure out how to fit into our side, likewise with Crameri (albeit after he recovers), Cordy and Webb.
