Excel game strong...reckon Bailey Dale will be a B in your book after this season.
What's the context? Current form? Career best? Rolling 2 year average? Max potential?
EFA. *runs*Jong A
EFA. *runs*
Joking btw, not trying to start another debate out it
Yeah I was borderline on Murphy A/BLove Murphy but he has lost a step, no longer elite.
Jong is C, Smith is B and Campbell is D.
New draftees should be ungraded until debut or at least *.
That's why I said: I assessed them in the role they play and the impact on the team winning.I don't personally rate the A,B,C and D method of rating players
as the various roles are so different and while Bontempelli is
clearly an A grader for his poise, vision and ball use and the
versatility position wise he does not have elite leg speed. Saying
that however the other facets of his game more than provide
compensation and make him an A grader and our best player
easily.
So A grade- Bontempelli. (Then the rest start at B+)
I prefer a school like system that judges multiple facets that
illuminate strengths and weaknesses as this blend of talents is
what makes a great team.
Geez a lot of As going around
I would rate them this way
A - Star, match winner
B - consistently high output
C - consensus best 22
D - depth, possible best 22
E - done, not good enough
NR- draftees, rookies
Now using my ratings this is how I rate the players on our list

Great thread starter. Probably staying the obvious but whichever way you define the grade Libba does stand out. He's not on his own in terms of below expectations but to me would have the biggest gap between current performance and what we've already seen he's capable of. Could be a big impact if he can turn it around in the second half of the year.
Sorry fpcookie , i was responding to the rating system rather thanThat's why I said: I assessed them in the role they play and the impact on the team winning.
reminds me of Higgins,Excel game strong...reckon Bailey Dale will be a B in your book after this season.
I see it as:
A - star
B - solid contributor, ie performs weekly
C - role player or inconsistent
D - developing/bust
