It's really sad that Smith's pinata bashing style gives me more hope than White at the moment. He just doesn't look like scoring a half decent total, and this is when we need him the most.
Except White is still playing despite his horrible form because even the selectors dont think Ferguson will do any better
Ferguson has never played an ODI in the sub continent and his practice match effort probably scared them off playing him now

sorry if this has been mentioned. But wasnt cameron white chosen as our number 1 spinner several years ago on a tour to india??

Ferguson is clearly better than White right now, on every available metric. And no, that's not "SA bias". It's just fact. If not Ferguson, I could list a number of other (non-SA) players who should be there instead of White.
And listen to you, you backpedalling fool - you were trumpeting how good White is overseas, and just isn't good in Australia. Well, perhaps the truth is he isn't good anywhere. Don't you get it? He has been worked out.

White rates his bowling so highly he rarely bowls himself these days, there was a reason he is referred to as Mr Sara Lee in cricket circles (number of pies he serves up)
After he was selected as a bowler, once, it was clear to all that he should never ever again be selected as a bowler.

White was overhyped for years by the Victorians and he continues to fail, potential will only get you so far before it needs to get replaced by performance.

His bowling is not even an issue, so I don't know why you bother with that crap. I have to assume that it's just another ignorant state based parochial comment that stinks up this board on an unfortunately all too frequent basis.
Whites form on the slower wickets has been shocking but he didn't jag all those 50's prior to this seasons form slump either. There's no doubt IMO, that he has changed his style, and it has been to his detriment.
The bloke is a hitter and a hitter only and should never be considered to play in the sub continent ever again. He just cannot adjust his game to the slower wickets.
Try a more balanced approach and you might get taken seriously.

that extra 20 runs a competent batsmen woulda given us was the difference
atleast now maybe it will sink in that there are consequences in both tests and odis for carrying bad selections past there use by dates
Cameron White is to cricket what Richard Tambling is to football. Alot was expected. Little was delivered. We never gave up though. If he cant do this, he could maybe do that, or that or that and as the question continued to be asked and more changes were made to his game no one ever stubmled upon the blindingly obvious fact that maybe just maybe we were all wrong and hes just not very good.

Everyone was so happy and full of praise when Mike Hussey was promoted, that worked well...

clarke and hussey atleast contributed at different points in the campaign
white did nothing but cost us. abo****e negative contribution and just way out of his league
