Pretty hard to pick players when they are injured.
Or sent to prepare properly in India.
By the way, that decision is one of the most sensible decisons that Aussies have made in years regards coping with daft international scheduling.
It was a polished 1 that he got today though, deserves a few more chancesI'm kinda glad that they gave him the entire summer to spud it up so we don't have to hear 'He just needed more time and waz robbed by them biased selectors!!' from Bushranger fanboys for the next 12 months.
nevermind, he's still in the Governor's XI

Whos spot does he take though? Hughes looks safe at three, as do Clarke and Bailey at 4 and 5 and Wade and Maxwell seem to be the preffered 6&7. Good to see he has taken his chances and will be first called upon shall we suffer injuries, rotation, or loss of form.Voges is full of composure, averages 42 and has a strike rate of over 90 - surely we'll see him in the set up more permanetly now after this series.

Of course Slats is totally unbiased when it comes to players who come from NSW, isn't he?Even Slats was saying that Kawajha got a raw deal by the selectors.
I reckon Voges could be just as successful as Bailey if a spot in the middle order opens up. Maybe that spot will be opened up with the order being reshuffled when Finch comes out.
I've always said that Voges > Bailey
And I stick by it, even after being lucky enough to witness Bailey's delightful 100 at the WACA.
