Your posts are full of it. What a dipstick you are!

The Hawks are one of the teams in the top 4 (2nd on the ladder, last time I checked) and

the result from round 4 - Sunday April 13, 2008

hawthorn hasnt played anywhere near its potential this year.
nor has geelong.
hawthorn is easily a match for geelong as far as raw ability is concerned.
the winner will be the team who is mentally better.

the person who created this thread is arrogant, and has no clue.

If you cast your mind back 6000+ days, you'll come across Hawthorn's 1991 triumph over the Weagles at Waverley. Their motto? "Too old - Too slow - TOO GOOD!!!!"

No disrespect, but in the main we were a seasoned team made up of a lot of players who had played in 2, 3 & 4 premierships.

Truth was we were too old and too slow compared to the likes of the Eagles et al that year but we got over them with class.

The game has changed that much since then that it couldn't honestly happen in todays footy.

I wouldn't write off the 'class and experience triumphs over youth and exuberance' days just yet...

And yeah, you were a seasoned unit, back then. Our side has grown together - I think Millburn is the only bloke left from the Gary Ayres days, so this is a team built exclusively by Bomber Thompson and his various off-field cohorts. We haven't won a string of premierships, but the GFC ARE a well drilled, seasoned squad of players with a belief in themselves and each-other.

Hawthorn are definitely a team on the rise, and one for the future. But they are not Jedis yet.

I am happy to go with that - it maybe Bay 13 but I am not the enemy of common sense and I do regard the Cats very highly.

I do, however think that my original point has some merit as I have seen some of your Cat supporting brethren concede as much.

Too bad for Essendon that the only time they decided to play 4 consistent quarters this year was against them. If they play like that they are unstoppable.

That second quarter of football was without a doubt, the best I have ever seen a side play football. It wasn't that Essendon weren't competitive - Geelong were just freaking amazing. Unfortunately for the Bombers fans, I think that loss really knocked it out of you guys and has been a major reason why you guys have played poorly recently.

some people think that i am joking when i say geelong will beat hawthorn by 15+ goals but a am for real. Yes hawthorn have a good side but we have a even better side.We need ablett to cut their midfield to shreds and put heri dodgey defence under pressure and break it OUT OF THE MIDDLE AND BREAK THEIR WEEK DEFENSE

You act like an arse clown but you're one of the few Cats fans that would get this.

I know you guys are confident you have the talent to beat us, but you must be shitting yourself watching us thinking whether you have the heart.

For this reason I can't wait to play you guys, but if we can and are ready I'm confident we will win.

As for toying with opposition sides, both our teams have. I concede we've been in 4th and 5th gear a bit, whilst you guys have been in 2nd, but you are a year ahead of us.

But do your guys have the ticker GC? ;)

H2F, more quality from you as expected.

If we break even with the Geelong midfield, we'll win by 5+ goals at the moment. Mooney and Hawkins aren't up to it and Ablett can't be everywhere. Scarlett won't like a match-up on Buddy as he will face a huge risk of running off Buddy and Harley would get mauled.

Can't wait for round 17.

Firstly you can't compare Hawks 08 to Geelong 05, as the premiership window
The hawk's first chance must include last year when they were a serious contender and really should have won the semi-final against the Roos!

Last years chace was really a year ahead of what people thought, a year earlier then expected. I think this year is when it was predicted Hawthorn to push for a flag which is what they are doing.

No need to call the season off, just enjoy it and watch it unfold...

embrace it, learn to live with it and move on...

It is what it is...Hawks have this years flag wrapped up and safely in the trophy cabinet...rave and rant all you like, do you actually think it makes any difference what you all think...

I shall be reminding you all over the coming months no doubt...

The good news is that we will win the next 3 flags..well good news for Hawk fans anyway.

What happened the last time Hawthorn started a season 8-0? Didn't even make the grand final, and got spanked when they played the reigning premiers during the season.

Why should this year be any different?

Keep living in the past...do you seriously think what happened in the past has anything to do with this year...please move along.

Well, Hawthorn fans seem keen to remind us of their perceived wood over us, which all happened in the past. Maybe you should practice what you preach.

How's the saying go? He who ignores history is doomed to repeat it?

geelongs forward line is still better than hawthorns defence .a forward line of mooney, hawkins, stokes, chapman and johnson is a mighty forward line.
apart from brown and croad hawks have nothing down back, gilham is a DUD

Hawthorn will be Premiers this year...

That is all you need to know, now you can all get on with your homework...move along.

It's great that you're passionate about the Hawks' chances, and more power to ya, kid. It won't be this year but they'll get there one day:thumbsu:

Can anyone give the poor child a box of tissues? He's blubbering...
