I read all the posts and enjoyed them. It has taken me over a week!
It was started by an Eagles supporter, what seems like with the right intentions, and it has turned into Lord of the Flies.
Deep breath, all ok? Shit fools. How about a bit of support for each other, after a tough year. Most here are not going to walk away, but statistically looking at it, if we have another 3 years like this we will potentially lose 1/3 of our members - as they do not tolerate losing.
There is no reason why Nat broke his leg (again), or Bennell and his calf or Johnson, or Sandi or Mundy getting injured all at the start of the year - even Morabito was a, what if story not to be.
To the ladies and men, and the children that wear purple in public this year, I am one of you, proud as I am the day we joined the competition, and I feel proud going fishing, putting on my old cap as though it was new, and I have a new one and it feels almost as good as my old one.
I like wearing Freo gear when shopping after heavy losses. Not because I am trying to upset anyone - it is just because I am a passionate fan, and when I see another person wearing Freo gear - I say g'day.
There are a lot of regular posters here with strong opinions (and in the past). I like a place for them here as they crack me up, so let's not get too sensitive, or offended or we may just turn in to the team up the road, 'chinking chardonnay glasses, saying how great we are or could be...
