I hope we get 30k. I never got the crows crowd.. Im from melbourne and ive been to games everywhere.. Adelaide on average get close to 40k but geez there games are silent! Obviously will sound biased but being serious 23k port game is louder than 40,000 to a crows game..

absolute rubbish. unlike you, I go to both at AAMI. Port don't get anywhere near the noise level as the Crows crowd. They just like to think there do. But there will be no special noise made from the Power fans tomorrow.

yeah... Just like you filled the stadium last week after 6 months of marketing your 20th anniversary game.

42k from a 54k stadium.... After all that hype.. Blanket advertising...first game of the year.

Weak as piss for a club that claims to have 70% of the states support.

I know for a fact that trigg was very disappointed with that crowd figure.

How much are Freo getting from their premiership players?

Also, quick question. Do you actually watch football? Or do you just wait for the profit announcements to come at the end of the year and throw a 'Freo made a profit despite being shit again!' party?

Were not getting any money from our premiership players simply because were financially stable unlike you joke of a club.:thumbsu:

Pity you dont know the advantages of making money or being a profitable AFL club. At least It proves you have loyal fans. Cant say that about your mob. Take a look at the Lexus Centre collingwood has got. Oh and the Pies have a Flag in 2010. Oh and they have good tv time slots on friday and saturday nights.

Hawthorn Won a flag in 2008 and has taken advantage over it. Oh and they made good money and took full advantages of that Tasmanian Deal where they played 4 games a year in Tassie. Like collingwood they get the good time slots.

Your mob won a flag in 2004 and 2007 If I am not mistaken. by 2009 your team was carrying a begging bowl and asked for the AFL to Bail your team out. Looking at those bay covers and asking for money from former port players makes your team more Pathetic than Fremantle Dockers in My opinion.

Freo Have taken Advantages of using their Profits. Freo dont trade pick 1 to get a 30 year old hack on a 2 year contract like the good old days. Now they take the youth policy and get decent players from the rookie list like Sandilands and Duffield and Barlow.Hopefully we use those Advantages to help us guide us to a Flag.

Yeah I do watch football. Ive been to melbourne twice last year to go to ethiad and the mcg. Im planning to go to a Dockers home game against gold coast this july.

So gopower enjoy your empty stadiums and enjoy having delayed games at 3 am on a tuesday at Taperoo.

This is the big ONE club game. All the Port Magpie supporters, plus 6k Norwood supporters. Great weather, you will be surprised... I am going down to show my support... I am a South Aussie through and through and want both clubs to do well:thumbsu:

6K Norwood Supporters you say?

That isnteresting considering that their average crowd attendance to norwood games in the 2010 regular season was 3400. And lets just say that of those 3400 fans....... 3399 are Norwood supporters.

Good to see that the OnePort initiative has inspired the Norwood fan base to almost double in size this week. :thumbsu:

Futile Park is a shit venue. West Coast is a shit club. The event will get the crowd it deserves. :thumbsu:

West Coast is a shit club you say?

What is your excuse for losing to a shit club this time, on a perfect day for football, with a near strength side??

Oh and LOL at the 23,214 who showed up to the OnePoort day. On the back of Port Adelaide Magpies and Norwood Redlegs, traditional rivals, for you opening home match in perfect football weather, you could still couldn't pull over 24K !

given that figure would include the 100's of free tickets that were given to Port SANFL members to bolster the crowd, it really is poor.

If you can't get a crowd in March when the weather is fine and for the first home game for the year in a good time slot, then it's all down hill after that.

You also forgot the tickets that were also given to Norwood supporters with home and away memberships.

If they lose against Geelong next week at the cattery and lose the showdown it's going to be a long season with sub 20K crowds for the remainder of the year.

Agree with all that. all jokes/trolling aside this is getting serious, free tickets, Norwood fans, first home game of year, perfect weather, one PAFC whatever that means and 23k?

I'm really not sure this football club is viable. They blame the whole world for their troubles (5AA, Advertiser, Crows fans and of course AAMI stadium) but the truth has really surprised me, Port fans are actually frontrunners and with an opportunity to get behind their football club today they failed

The problem with Port supporters is that rather than actually address what the problem is, they go through this whole cherade of pretending it's everyone else's fault.

Nothing will ever change when the mindset of the supporters is that "it's not Port's fault"

When they move to Adelaide Oval it will be a whole load of new excuses, the reality is that if Port arent winning the flag every year then a large quantity of their supporters wont show any real interest in supporting the club.

HAHAHAHA. Yes, that's the reason why you're not getting any money from your premiership players.

Yeah, it's working out brilliantly for you guys with your 2 finals wins in 16 years.

tl;dr to the rest of your 'money is more important than winning' crap.
