After coming out with a promise of top 4 this year only to lose to Norf at home and be out of contention by round 7 instead, you’d think Failmantle folk would be a bit gun shy about making anymore grandiose declarations and avoid being humiliated again

But no. You’d be wrong.

Its Cockburn we’re talking about here.

Hey Bev,

This fred is done n dusted, the OP has fallen over the cliff and probably won’t be in seen in same form again. I know it will be hard for you, grieving n all that, but we purples are here to help. At the first sign of a Bennie sprouting the old Dan vitriol we’ll give a call. Hang in there.

Oh

Your welcome over at Mesc first class fred about laughs n the West Coast Eagles at any time.

Reckon you can keep the circle jerking going for another couple of hundred pages to match Dan’s thread Geoffrey? Looking a bit tired over there.

Imagine calling yourself a superpower when Corey Wagner is in your best 22

dockers were not out of finals contention in round 7.

Dockers were 6-5 by 11 games

Well no Issues with Corey Wagner getting games for freo in 2023. Wagners 3rd chance in the AFL after 8 games for North in 2016-7, and 11 games for the demons in 2019-20.

Played 9 games this season. Not a great player by any stretch. Tries harder and works harder than your entire eagles mens squad in the past 2 seasons.

Still remember dockers making finals in 2012-5. Carried guys like Zac Dawson, Matt De Boer and Nick Suban in that side.

In isolation it’s not a big deal but when you add him to Neale, Langdon, Hill, Hogan, Cerra, Acres, Lobb, Logue, etc etc it’s a problem

Kulcha!
I didnt have the chance to reply on this post. I got banned for 2 weeks due to a poxy west coast eagles mod....

MadMundy gave you a solid reply...

But as for the Blokes that left at the end of 2022...

David mundy: Already 37 years old.... Good servant.

Rory Lobb: Bloke was already 30. Bulldogs offered him a 3 year deal. Had we kept Rory Lobb for 2023, you think freo or any other club would hand Lobb a 3 year deal for 2024-6? Lobb turns 31 in february of 2024.

Blake Acres: Probably the one most likely we regret not to keep. Solid outside mid. Then again Andrew Gaff averaged 28-30 disposals in 2022 and 2023. Hawk the eagles mens side going again?

Lloyd Meek: I rated him. a solid young ruckman. Should of got games in 2019 and 2020. He played like 10-15 games in 2021-2. Could of kept him. but meh.

Griffin Logue: sort of one we should of kept. Out of contract at the end of 2022. I wished dockers in a way gave him a 2 year extension at the end of 2021. That meant he stayed at freo until 2024, that meant free agency in 2024 for him.

Darcy Tucker: played like 8 games in 2022. could of stayed at freo in 2023, would of been a free agent that season as well as that was his 8th season had he stayed in 2023. Like Logue, he joined North Melbourne too.

Corey Wagner wouldn’t even make our 22

He's going to be a very good player. He doesn't want to play for West Coast
He already loves us.

Who wouldn’t want to be a part of a dynasty midfield alongside Hewett and Ginbey playing in front of a packed Optus stadium every other week?

So basically what you’re saying here is that you’re a feeder club. Might want to sort that out before declaring yourselves a superpower.

Maybe match Jack Darling’s finals wins too before getting ahead of yourself. Or atleast make finals.

Just a thought.

Ah yes.... Jack Darling 8 finals wins.

Dockers 7 in 29 years.

In 171 years time, that will be 200 years of Freo in the comp.

How many finals will the dockers win in 171 years? LoL

Jack Darling has more spoons than the entire Freo football club too.

Norf are better than WC lol

Wait 12 months then.
30th anniversary next year for Cockburn entering the comp and youve got 1 losing grand final appearance, the worst season on record for a WA team and a Micheal Frederick backflip to show for it.

Ooooh bad news mate.

it’s actually 9 finals wins for big JD.

I don’t think Cockburn will get there in our lifetimes

What’s the punishment in the forces for desertion?

Wambat / Dan has deserted his fred and left Beverley to carry the flag and he’s not doing a very good job.

Dan tried to make yardage out of Garlick’s Vision Statement now Lathlain wants to poach him, any comment on behalf of Wambat Bev?
