who one the today out of the 1's and 2's thanks.
Osborne won 1s with DJ Bloomfield getting BOG. They were the better team all year and deserved to win.
Culcairn won 2nds, but i did notice that culcairn had a few blokes playing 2nds yesterday that have been not only playing 1sts in the previous finals but playing well such as McGrath and Bosley . I feel sorry for the guys who helped get them into the grand final and had to miss out for these blokes to get a game, but whatever you can do to win one i guess

1st: Osborne 15. 16. 106 defeated Jindera 9. 14. 68
Mckelvie 6 goals

2nds: Culcairn 9. 8 . 62 defeated Jindera 8. 9. 57

3rds: Jindera 11. 5. 71 defeated Holbrook 9. 11. 65

4ths: Im not sure who won out of Rand/Walbundrie vs Howlong didnt see that match and didnt find out sorry.

Good day out at Walbundrie yesterday good weather and some good footy.

Murray Magpies were in 5 netball grand finals and won all 5 of them. A very good effort from them.

Correct Score in 2nds Game was Culcairn 12:8 to Jindera 8:9.Bulldog boys
played very well but the Hot conditions and lack of rotations certainly
didnt help,Culcairns bench was like a rotating door. Two boys drooped from
the side the previous week played well, and the additions to the Seniors also played well but just no match for Osbornes Talls, the other teams just have to reload and try again:D

[Correct Score in 2nds Game was Culcairn 12:8 to Jindera 8:9.Bulldog boys]

Sorry about the incorrect scores. I copied them out of the Sunday Herald Sun as I hadn't writen them down at the ground.

Can anyone tell me why Glanville was named on the bench in the team of the year in the Border Mail when he came runners up in the Azzi?:confused::confused: Whiterod and Kohlhagen were both picked as midfielders yet their team only finished mid table, while Morris only went to R/W midseason. Any thoughts:confused:

the team hasnt come up in the bordermail yet? could someone post it up please. as for whiterod and kolhagen, would have thought whiterod was the best ruckman in comp by (excuse the pun) a country mile. as for kolhagen well he would av. 30+ touches a game. gee i'm not looking forward to the shite thats going to come out on this forum if the bb saints recruit a few more next yr, this year was bad enough!

Does anyone know any rumours for recruits next year/coach's? I know its still only early. Which clubs seem to have the most $$ to spend?

Well done to Osborne been the best side all year and thoroughly deserved their win. Couple of things about GF Day. Interesting choice of Kade Klemke singing the national Anthem which sounded more like a cat being tortured. And i'm certain Old Merv loves the sound of his own voice didn't get off the mic all day. Harty's speech after the game proves what sort of a bloke he is.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Hi NOP, I missed the game and Harty's speech, what exactly did he say? I know him personally and he is a great bloke, very humble. How did he and Kerry Bahr play in the GF? I also went to school with Aaron Lezius, did he go OK for the dogs?

Surely kade klemke singing the anthem was the biggest joke in country football in quite some time, and made a mockery of the tradition, occaision and anthem itelf. I hope for the leagues sake that it was a last minute thing and they didn't know what they were getting themselves into, and for the sake of the bloke himself someone pulled him aside afterwards and told him never to do anythign like that ever, ever again.

I felt embarrassed for the poor bloke..

Alburys FB to Howlong???? Believe he a Howlong boy and heard on the grapevine he a certainty with one or two more Alb boys????

This is no big news. everyone in footy knows that Jay Koeller cant wait to get back to Howlong so he can get on the piss with all his mates who play ressies out there. doesnt matter who's coaching or how the club's travelling he will end up there sooner rather than later. its a shame coz he's an unbeleivable talent who could probably go to melbourne if he cared enough. good luck to the boy tho :thumbsu:

Belatedly.........but it appears I didn't actually do too well in the Azzi, with five out of my Top 10 making the Azzi Top 10 and my No.1, Whiterod, finishing runner-up. This would be the first time the winner didn't come from my Top 10, and certainly never the top 2 in the count. Obviously the umpires saw differently to the timekeepers this year!
Didn't do too badly in the juniors though.

may not be surprising news but I thought it would be massive news! do Howlong look like keeping majority of their list together? if so, the addition of a premiership o+m FB and brad farrugia will go along way in pushing them up the ladder next season!
I hear Culcairn in the mix for some Alb 2's players, one name Trav Gardiner?

Okay, having added the League B&F votes and the best players from all the finals, the following lists represent my Team of the Year in each grade based on best players as named on the Hume league website and voted by the umpires.
Having not seen the Border Mail's Team of the Year, I don't know how the senior one matches up (perhaps someone could post it).
Please let me know how close to the mark I am this year in each grade.
Who is in that you think shouldn't be?
Who isn't there that you think should be?
Also, I can tell you the final position of any player in the league - just ask.

Well done Here It Is another job well done for season 2009. Just wondering if you could do a top 5 for each team in each grade also. Cheers.

Henty look to be going to spend big next year, they have already been offering good money to pretty average players in Wagga.

Not sure where you are getting your information from footydork (or perhaps your'e making it up ) but Henty will not be spending up big as they are planning for the future and building for success not looking for overnite fix:thumbsdown:

I work with two young fellars who are both average RFL first graders at a lower placed RFL club atm. They have met with henty and the offer was of $200 agame each and free accomodation on home functions etc.. Im going on what they have told me (not making up anything) and im sure they wouldnt just make it up either hawka. So perhaps your not in the loop as much as u'd like to think.
