Hey POP gun im pretty sure one of those players has played SANFL and only moved to the coast for work! so yeh im pretty sure he can handle the hume league! Canberra clubs have been chasing him for some time.

I was talking about culcairn getting short on the money side, might be there last chance this year to have a crack at a flag before they run out.
I'm pretty sure Walla approached Cul about merging, not Cul approaching Walla chasing their coin! From what i hear Cul are going along quite comfortably, if they do merge i'm sure the den will have no problem spending what Walla once had!:D

What teams will make the finals this year? Will there be any surprises? Who will be the team too watch out for this year?

pretty close i would think however the difference between tier 1 and the rest may well be closer then we think. But we'll see.
Honest and accurate about the magpies though.

New nest for Pies

AFTER six months of discussions, the Murray Magpies have been given the green light to relocate to the Lavington Panthers Oval next season.
The Hume League club and Lavington announced the decision yesterday after initially hatching the idea in July.
The two clubs will share the ground, with the Magpies to play their home games in the weeks Lavington plays away from home.
The Panthers will still get priority for training during the football season, with the Magpies to use Urana Road Oval.
Magpies president Ted Miller said the move would set the club up for the long term.
“We’re excited and honoured to be given the opportunity to share with the Panthers,” he said.
“The facilities here are first class and it will be great for our players, supporters and members.
“The move will strengthen and secure our long-term future.
“Financially, and in all aspects, it will boost our club.”
Panthers general manager Josh Collins was equally enthusiastic about the move.
“It’s fantastic for both clubs,” he said.
“Getting the Magpies over will help with the sustainability of the oval and increase members at the club.
“We’ll have two top footy squads based here which will be great.
“We’re very proud of our oval and we’ll have a home game here every week next season which is great.”
As part of the move, a new netball court will be built at the LPO due to Hume league clubs needing two courts.
“We’ll need to add one court, the new court will be inside the velodrome at the LPO, which should be completed by the start of the season,” Miller said.
The Magpies hoped to get some pre-season training sessions at the LPO if they don’t clash with the Panthers, Miller said.

This is good news for the Magpies and something that probably should have been done from day one.
It will help them make money and attract players as well.

You can add Jay Banks and Justin Fulton both Lavington to Howlong as well. Looks like the spiders are really building in strength and could be a real contender

Nar just Banks, Fulton has signed with Yack. Still tho the spide's shouldnt be to bad this season, probably there-abouts again. The didnt trouble the big 3 (Jind, Osb, Cul) in any of their games last season and from memory got an absolute dicking by the Dogs down at the web late in the season so maybe need 1 or 2 more quality players to be a real force one would think but they r headin in the right direction it seems :thumbsu:

BB Saints have signed an onballer from Leeton on big $$
Look to be big improvers in'09, have another couple of quality players on the verge of signing. Had more than 40 train on their first night. Anyone know how fellow cellar dwellers Henty and MM Magpies are looking for this year? Heard Henty barely have any $$$ to spend so maybe another long season ahead for em, while the Magpies have never really had any significant coin to spend.

Maybe you should get your mum to explain it to you
All it does is show how superior the top 3 are than anyone else and that MM are so bad that most teams 2nd grade could beat them
Or maybe you could enlight us with a ladder that makes senSe

How are teams going for numbers on the training track?

Any other early predictions for how the ladder will finish this year?
