just commenting on the best recruit part. from what i saw derek murray was useless, has good skills but fitness lacking and therefore there are brighter lights in that team. also about ayden brown, he just tries to take everyone on and gets caught more often than not, anyone can do that. just wondering what peoples thoughts are of the two recruits of the bb saints, glanville and guest. has literally dragged that side into winning games and being competitive against the higher teams. unfortunately guest didnt play against osbourne but in my opinion he is the best recruit in the league, and if his knee holds up could be up there for the azzi, maybe not win but def top 10.

yeah for a man with great skill derek hasnt done great.. good yes thou.. but he should be carving up more!
why wasnt paul glanville in the interleague side thou.. ?

I didn't want to do this but someone will-i will do it mainly because you can't spell. The best combo would be KFC's extreme combo probably Upsized after a big saturday night.....

Don't forget the extra tub of standard issue gravy for your chip dipping pleasure.....! DELIGHTFUL!

No surprises for round 12.

Game of the round for round 13 is certainly Lockhart v Culcairn at Lockhart. Who will play on Donnan? Who will play on Smallwood? Gilson on Mcpherson in the middle? Should be an absolute beauty

Jindera were very good bouncing back could have kept walla to one goal but walla to their credit kicked the last 2 of the game. Last week really hurt the boys at the kennell more about their own performances and to bounce back the way they did was good to see.
Going to be a great run home with any of 4 sides capable of finishing in the top 2. All these sides play each other so going to be interesting. hard to see the Premiership being won from outside the top 2 this year.

yeh good to play a lower side to get back on the winning list after last weeks dissapointing effort. full credit to come back hard and strong.

If the hume league members cant see after this weeks score lines with most of the top sides playing a weeker side how we need a promotoin realagation sytem in place is the way to go then i dont think they ever will. Any support or thoughts? would save getting a thumping every second week and give clubs a shot at finals and go back to playing each side twice

Interesting to see Chad Willis cop 4 weeks for 'abusing an umpire' (was 6 but reduced). Thinking of some of the constructive 'advice' he has given a number of backmen over the years and some physical 'gamesmanship' he has used and copped the standard two weeks in the past, giving an umpire some advice on his performance and how he could potentially improve and then getting rapped with 6 weeks seems a bit over the top.

Couldnt agree more. The gap between the top & bottom sides is ridiculous, and a promotion/ relegation system would ensure more competitive football for everyone.

Was interested to see Danny Kirchens comments in Border Mail. He doesn't consider Culcairn a Premiership chance. While I'm not sure I agree, the Lions certainly play an indirect and high possession type of footy and their creative, but loose defense could also be suspect under pressure.

It was a pretty soft effort from the umpire and the tribunal. Not too sure how he could feel too threatened by a few swear words. A bit too precious on the umpires behalf.
It seems you can break a guys jaw with intentional rough play and cop 1 week, bit a few choice words towards an umpire (and it's debatable if those words were actually directed at the umpire), could cost you 6 weeks.

To go with that, what has been the point of the NSW-AFL sending the Coreen League clubs to the Hume League when all 4 that have been admitted occupy the bottom 6 spots on the ladder and have been the subject numerous beltings??? This show's a 2 div comp needs to be put in place for those clubs, along side us and the Saints etc. so we have the chance to rebuild and play for finals spots with aim of getting to the getting in to the top division.:thumbsu:

Yes also heard that, a lockhart player said something to him about one of his decisions and goal umpire entered the field and pushed him which is why the report was handed down. Will be interesting to see the outcome

Still havnt heard anything about the report, maybe it has something to do with fact that it was an executive of Walla and it got swept under the mat.

I still believe there's room for another league in between the Hume and Picola leagues which would include the last five old CDFL clubs plus five more from a mix of the two massive competitions. If what it is called is a sticking point, just come up with something new. Southern Riverina Football League has a good ring to it.
(Old CDFL): CDHBU, Billabong Crows, Coleambally, Rennie, Jerilderie
(PDFL): Berrigan, Blighty?
(HFL): Rand-Walbundrie, Walla?, BB Saints

This drops PDFL to 13, which it can handle, and HFL could then accept TRYC and CAK to have a good comp of 10.

I agree HII, pretty easy to read the paper and see that all the these clubs besides R-W and Jerilderie are getting flogged every week. Also look at the size of the towns all small rural towns who save up the cash to buy some good quality players to be a real premiership contender, all getting their go, going around in a cycle.
But at the moment it is osbourne, culcairn, jindera being the forces, with a few other clubs like R-W, lockhart having their cycle period.

Coming to conclusions the NSW/ACT needs to have some guts and do something about it other wise these small towns are going to die, because these towns rely on there football on the weekends. It brings the whole community together plus keeps the kids off the streets.

Why would Berrigan & Jerilderie want to move from where they are ? VCFL is a thousand times more organised than the NSWACTAFL.

True, but one was in the old Coreen league and I'm almost certain wouldn't have left if Wahgunyah hadn't done so first, while the other tried on at least one occasion to get in. Would be less travelling for them, and less money needed to have a chance of success.

each teams best player

Billabong crows-Michael O'Riordan
Rand Walbundrie-Ayden Brown
Jindera- Mark Hilton
CDHBU- Jayme Hicks
Walla- Nick whiterod/kollhagen
Hollbrook- Manny Edmunds
Culcauin- Gramae Fruaen
Lockhart- Daniel Smallwood
Henty- Matt Wilson
Howlong- Ben Nichalson
BB Saints- Brett Guest
Collambally- Andrew Mcgown
Osbourne- Adam Gooden
Murray magpies- scott franz

any one else got different opinions

The Magpies' player in question is Thurgoona's favourite son Shane Franz.
And while Jayme Hicks has a lot of talent, Jarrod Hanrahan is still comfortably the Power's best IMO.

Im sure Matty would be flattered, but I think his brother Andrew has about a yard or so of pace on him, and is possibly the bloke you had in mind.
oops yeh andrew sorry,,
u coming from out there can u tell me who played on bomber on the w.e ,
