Who have Jindera gained ?Losses so far include Holman to Nth Alb;Weldon to Lavi with Blomely and Garland to do pre seasons there;Castles to albury;Hilton(best player in league this yr) to be limited;mackie to ? so some haevy losses there-anything to cover them yet?

fair enough, how are they shaping up, have they done any recruiting in the off season and/or kept most of last years players on board?

Got a phone call from Spiteri today regarding his departure from Walla.
From what i can gather it was a mutual agreement and he was not sacked.
He offered the club a few suggestions, which hopefully the club took on board.
As for recruits,4 players from Wagga plus a couple from in town would be a good start i reckon.
What a pity that this matter wasnt kept quiet by a local player who obviously couldnt keep his mouth shut until a replacement coach was named.
I believe that a local will be the replacement coach, this season anyway.

good to see he is full of suggestions but couldnt do the job......I think you will find the new coach Luke Kolhagen had the contact on the wagga blokes.

Only confirmed depatures are that of Mackie, Holman and Castles. They have picked up obviously Wightman (Thurgoona) anyone know how he goes heard reports but never seen him. Will have at least 3 possibly up to 5 new signings by the end of the week. 1 from Corryong, 2 from Chiltern as well as 2 or 3 younger guys out of the O and M. remembereing Jindera were a 5-7 goal better side then everyone else i believe they are still in pretty good shape.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

DUD!!! Not too bad when fit will just depends how married life treats him over the next few months.

Brock-Burrum are likely big improvers next year so far they have signed Paul Glanville, probably the best ruckman in the O and K with another O and K signing on the way. Four or five Yarra Valley players are travelling up the highway, apparently better than anyone they had last year, while they are chasing a couple of Murray league players who have moved to the area. Haven't heard if Eddy is coaching or not though.:thumbsu:

i think your being a little harsh there peeler or?, wightman has no problem finding the ball, and even though he is not as high a profile player as a mackie or holman, he will hold his own. good pick up

Dont stress Harry, no orange peeler is the man in question. think he was just being humerous in discussing himself :thumbsu:

thanks boys!! hopefully we will pick up a few more and go back to back as well as giving some of the thirds a run. Has there been any other major recruiting happening

No,im not saying it is Luke Kohlhagen mouthing off, thats not the kind of person he is,although i do believe it will be him coaching this season.
My belief is that all persons involved at the club were told to not say anything about the departure of Spiteri until a replacement coach was sourced from within the club.
Unfortunately for the club there are a few fukcwits out there that couldnt wait to start diggin the boots in on a situation they clearly dont know the full facts of.

Didnt say it was Spiteri that got the blokes from Wagga,I do know that Brett Kohlhagen and Spiteri were tryin thier best to entice quality blokes as well as quality footballers to the club.
The other thing i find amusing is that a few of the present players told Spiteri "I wanna wait til xmas before i make up my mind or,I wanna see who u recruit before i commit",thats fair enough in 1 way but doesnt help with recruiting playerswho want to know who is staying and who is not.

You sound as if your invovled out that way or you no someone who is , but all i no is that luke will do great his a player who leads from the front but the question is will they improve on last year or will they go backwards , and have they signed any players from last year,

I agree with Jimmy sounds like you are in the loop or is it thought you where in the loop ! Lukey will be a good coach as he leads from the front and I think you will find now they have a QUALITY coach with some recruiting skills most of the blokes will commit fairly fast !

Jimmy you said the crows are losing there mulwala crew, does that include the coach and assistant from last year knackers??

Yeah, was going to ask the same question Jimmy. Are the mul boys going back to mul? You'd think they wouldn't be in a hurry to go back as mul can expect some long seasons ahead unless the chequebook reappears.

Must be hard to get recuits out to Oaklands. Players have to drive past a lot of footy clubs (and chequebooks) to get there.

Can play!

A big blow losing that much quality. Good luck getting another influx like that in next year! Based on that news I take it that the Crows aren't shaping up that well for 2009 atm (or as well as for 2008 anyway)?

Talk to Spiteri regularly and am actually part if his off field team and he hasnt informed me of anything to this nature.

So what are you going to do now, join the losers list with him eh. Seems no one at walla knows anyone who supports the club from Beechworth and follows the Tiges, using a false town eh looks like they have gotten rid of two duds ! Just hope the true hoppers run tough and back Luke.

Thats a big call unless you know who it is ! I heard it just down the river last friday in the pub. Maybe you should widen your accusations a little before you go accusing any LOCAL footballers.
