Fair whack whilst hiding behind a keyboard... Simon's a good kid, yes he loves a drink, but Culcairn let him get away with drinking Friday nights without repocussions, he knew he'd still get a senior game every week so why would he change when there's no incentive to... Maybe going to a club with stricter guidelines, where all players are held to standards and are accountable to each other might just be what he needs to bring the best out in him. I'm sure he'll go great in an environment where people support him rather than bitch about him from an anonomus account on the internet.

Hiding behind a key board....good one! Forum is full of them mate...You obvioisly have no idea of his previous club and to say he will go to a club that will support him better is rubbish. He got all the support he needed, until he continued to let his coach and his team mates down. The bad environment you are talking about was being created by blokes like him openly going out on Friday nights, this was giving the club a bad name. Don't get me wrong, the kid can play footy, could be a gun if he was fully committed. Its about time he started to take responsibility for his own actions instead of people making excuses for him. For you to say Culcairn never gave him any support is a bit of a cop out , they did mate, but he abused it....
From what I heard he was chased by Chiltern and told the club that he would stay for a small increase which would've given him half of what Chiltern are offering. So to say he is letting the club down is a bit harsh. Surely if they're paying three blokes 3k a week they can find $100 for a former junior that has stuck with the club through dark times

In a gargantuan coup on the recruitment front, Holbrook has signed Wangaratta Rovers emerging star in Ben Talarico. It was well known that Talarico was courted by Rennie, as the three players on their 'must get recruiting register' were; Craig Ednie, Matt Pendergast and Talarico. The Hoppers nearly had their man as well, until the Brookers stepped in. It is well documented that Talarico is a Port Adelaide fan, but grew up loving former Carlton dynamo, Adrian Whitehead. It is said that it took Talarico most of the meeting to gain enough confidence to properly engage in the conversation with Whitehead, as previously all he could splutter was 'Mr Whitehead, I'm your biggest fan'. (Which may or may not be 100% true, as Andrew Mackinlay spends his day talking about Whitey this, Whitey that, Whitey thinks that I am the tackle king!) Once Talarico stopped fanboying, he demanded $1K a game, the Brookers agreed (to which they thought it was cheap for a player of his calibre) and the deal was pretty much done. Rennie are disappointed to have let him slip, but it is nothing to that of the Rovers who had wanted to build their side around this young superstar.
Talarico is a fast, agile and smart footballer who stands at a touch over 6'4" and cannot be moved in a one on one, he prides himself on squatting daily and it shows, with he winning Wangaratta and District largest quadriceps award in 2014,2015 and 2016. Talarico played his first game of senior football at the age of 15 and tried to mould his game on Whitehead's whilst he was at Carlton, a versatile speedster who could play forward, wing or back. But as he grew and was moved into the midfield and more key positions when needed. His skills are solid without being spectacular, but the thing that really sets him apart is his tackling ability, and the fact that he has never missed a tackle. During his schooling days he refused to play cricket or football during PDHPE classes or sport sessions, he concentrated on his favoured sport of Greco Roman Wrestling. After missing out on the Australian Olympic team in 2012, he became discouraged and took up local football to pay the bills, as he wasn't being stimulated or challenged enough whilst working at McDonalds. Even though he took up football at a later age, he has taken to it like a duck to water. Some of the locals are hoping that Josh Jones doesn't get his nose out of joint with the signing of another quality midfielder, however they needn't worry, as the only thing that can knock Jones' nose out of joint is a stray Luke Brauer elbow. Talarico will be a major asset to the Holbrook football club on and off the field and he is expected to be a major player in the Azzi medal count at the end of the season.

There is nothing stray about a Luke Brauer elbow. He's dirtier then David Rhys-Jones.
It is precision that has taken years to "make it look like an accident".
Hence why he is now known as "brew the butcher". He'll carve your nose in three places with his elbow then kick the ball 30 metres away from you and call it "on the tit" and follows it up by saying that it's his year to win the Azzi.

Spoke with Adam today, will play at Lavington next season
Adam Flagg will definatley be playing at Lavington next season.
Must have dropped his asking price a fair bit. I heard Lavi wasn't interested earlier because he wanted big coin. If that is true then it's good to see a club win for once.
