Have heard Big Hayden Heta as well as big John Spencer have signed at Hoolbrook. Have not heard much out of the Brookers camp with Doswell now in charge. Could Lamb pull them back on?

Highly doubt he will. He said after the last one that was it. Cant afford to get injured with his work and stuff. But that may have changed in the past 6 months

That's what I'm hearing as well.

I was told today by one of the saints assistant coaches, that he has signed on again after they got him an apprenticeship. He was very close to signing with jindera as they were going to get Stylesy to give him an apprenticeship as well.

That's good for him, some financial stability is always a bonus!

Very fair comment. We should be supportive of the clubs that need some luck. Good luck to all at Walla. Hope the wheel starts turning for you.
The only wheel turning at Walla this year is the money wheel.........if all reports are right about what the Coach and assistant are getting payed !

Fitzpatrick from Walla signed on at Howlong for this season, that's the fourth club within the league for him, not a good look.

Also have heard that Henty's favourite son in Paddy Murray will take his cricketing future down to Melbourne which means he won't be playing for the Swampies this season. He is yet to break it to the club as a whole, however the rumours of his departure have slowly crept through the club. Which, from what I can understand, is the main reason Jamarl hasn't recommited yet and Ryan Hon has gone into Albury. After speaking to one of the locals, they are gutted that they won't be able to see Paddy put on his weekly clinics on the feild. They said that last year he was quoted in saying before every home game that the $10 entry fee into the Henty Showgrounds was an absolute bargain to the once in a generation 'Professor of Football' give his opposition a lesson in football. He was also quite annoyed that he had to pay to get into opposition home grounds and thought it was they who should pay for him to play at their grounds. Just like Fevola, he brought the crowds in, however it usually wasn't football lovers, but thousands of screaming women who flocked to see Paddy wearing his pair of tiny, tiny short shorts. He regards himself a man of the people by giving out a plethora of home made Paddy Murray playing cards, of which he signs himself and gives out to anyone who catches his eye, even if they repeatedly try to decline them.

I've also heard in shocking news for the hume league that Bryce "Mark Crosgrove" Swift has strained his side playing cricket and is looking to need a full side reconstruction which will leave him out of the Tigers Line up.. This is a massive loss for the tigers as he was keen to have a big preaseaon and dominate the forward 50 as much as hentys home town hero Paddy "Horse hung" Murray.. Tigers will be left without a Fullforward with the departure of Warren Marmo, and now the Injured Bryce Swift..

Walla assistant coach from last yr Tom Stead has walked out back to Thurgoona. He reportedly was very happy with the people at walla and the blokes he played with but was rather disgruntled at the consistently poor off field management. He said first asked to re sign halfway through the year and they kept saying they want him but kept putting it off. Word from a few people around the club is that the committee is a shambles. They have 23 on their committee!!!! No wonder there's no direction could u just imagine one of their meetings? Would be like a CWA get together lol

As for Sedgewick he has signed at Saints, so don't know where the Thurgoona talk came from

This is not completely true. We actually had constantly talked to steady during the year and after our games had finished. he said to us that he wanted to get to know hte new players and coach and if liked how things were going, he would resign in pre season. he is a good player and we are sorry to see him go, but he was holding us to ransom, not how things should be done. although if he doesnt want ot be here, then we only want people who are going to work hard for our club. we will improve.

Sammy myors is a great pick up for Jindera. Have heard they had another player ink today, with another 2 or 3 close. Pretty much offset their losses.

Holding walla to ransom? He was asking for $500 a game (below his market value and easily worth it compared to what some of those saints guys you signed are on) plus due to his bad back and his family situation he wanted a bit of leniency from training. For someone who trained all the time last year when the club was only getting 4 or 5 from both seniors and reserves surely the club could have worked with him?

Anyway that's not even the biggest issue being spoken about with that club, but as a neutral I'm got gonna kick a near dead dog. I just was pointing out this issue as he's potentially one of the best players in the comp who carried walla last season (with 3 or 4 others) and it's a sad day for them when they can't keep a bloke of that calibre at the hopper home (Does it have a name? You guys shld give ur ground some catchy name)

If $500 a game is below his market value then shoot me in the head right now! Nothing against this particular bloke but this is why country footy is f**ked, clubs are paying players like him that much money, his a good player but to say he is potentially one of the best players in the comp get your hand off it, if that is true the hume league must be shit footy. Clubs like Walla can't win, don't do anything they get smash on here, do something they get smashed on here.

By holdong us to ransom I ment that he was saying if I like how things are I will stay but if I dont then ill go, instead of making a commitment to the club one way or the other, he was stringing us along. If he has a bad back and family commitements and doesnt want to train very much, what makes him think and you think he should be paid 500$ per game? if anything he should be docked pay for not turning up! but you are right, he is a good player, I wouldnt say the best in the best in the league but was very good for us. for a full forward who had to play in the middle, he worked his backside off and tried his best every game. a very good player for us and is sad that he is leaving. but it is also sad the way itended and the way he went about it. the writing was on the wall though when Bally parted ways with us, as they are good friends. Good luck also to bally at howlong.

That's far from accurate - He was very keen to stay even after Ball left - Even offered to help with recruiting and was actively involved with getting contacts of potential Thurgoona blokes - Hard for walla to say he should be paid less for not training when Sims, Tresise, and Henderson were around the $800+ a game last year as travellers who didn't train. That's one of the biggest hypocritical statement out of the club so far (and there's quite a few)

Yes you're right, a full forward who had to play in the middle - He won Tallangatta League goal kicking 2 yrs in a row with 100+ (I think 2011 & 2012) so if anyone doubts his worth as one of the better players around they are barking mad!!!!!

And your "holding to ransom" statement has change pretty quickly - By reassessing the direction after promising the playing group the signing of a big name coach then appointing who you did then I'd say that's being pretty wise. Up til that point Steady said he was asking the committee where to sign and even helping recruiting so that's far from accurate anyway and not even close to the definition of 'holding to ransom'

The way you're going about this conversation is only enhancing the perception that is already out there of your club - A basket case

Ok people, we aren't allowed to talk about Walla anymore on here! Apparently they would rather stay irrelevant! Good choice.

Frederick, please note. Walla Walla would prefer to stay irrelevant, so if we could please stop talking about them in any, way, shape or form they would greatly appreciate it! TIA.
